The players that Danny brought together that have walked in free agency (two sign and trades technically) form one heckuva playoff caliber/contending-worthy starting five:

Kyrie Irving, Terry Rozier, Gordon Hayward, Marcus Morris, Al Horford.

Instead of blaming Danny for bringing all those guys in, when do we start potentially blaming Brown and Tatum for pushing all those guys away?

But we don't have Kyrie Irving either, which is a huge tick in Ainge's favour

I guess Tatum and Brown are regarded as a failure of epic proportions. ;D

Such a weak take. Thats the only thing he has going for him. The nets trade. He did jothing with all those assets.

I mean, Danny traded for a star and signed two guys to max contracts.  As Wyc suggested, if Kyrie doesn’t flake out we’ve probably got a team of Horford / Davis / Hayward / Brown / Kyrie right now.

Davis was never, ever, ever, ever ever erve vervevrverevevrerve coming here

Yet, the entire NBA thought he was, including the Pelicans.  That’s why they didn’t trade him the deadline before.
Or they didn't trade him before the deadline because they wanted the Lakers to tank so they could get a much higher draft pick from them.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

No Jimmy Butler, No K.L. No A.D. no.Harden. what did he do with those assets. Nothing. See you Danny. You suck.

None of those guys wanted to be in Boston. So trade away all Your young talent and future draft picks for a 1 or 2 year rental?  No thanks.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Fire him ? Sign him to a ten year extension ! Tatum, Brown, Smart, Williams, Pritchard.....His under 25 team can beat 3/4 of the league.

He’s just beginning the championship build

Feel like there's a middle ground in here somewhere, which is what we should aim for

I said yes, not that I think he's done a poor job overall. I do think he's mismanaged a lot of things recently (draft picks, Hayward etc.), and has drafted poorly.

The main reason I said yes is simply because I think other GM's don't like to work with him. He's developed a bad reputation across the league whether that is he ALWAYS has to win a trade or trying to trade players knowing they are injured (Kemba). I think he's burned too many bridges with other GM's and at this stage it is hurting the growth of our team.
