Back in 4th place for a minute. The Knicks are killing The Pistons so they're going to be moving into 4th by the end of the evening.

Nesmith played well 3 games in a row and then he’s a DNP tonight. Green gets 33 mins  and finishes with a negative +/-.

Javonte had a good game, but I too was disappointed that Nesmith didn't play. I want him to get a lot of minutes, especially when Jaylen Brown is out.  I was expecting him to start.

His FG% was good, But only 2reb and 2 ast in 33 mins? No steals.. I’d rather give those minutes to Nesmith and Semi.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I'm glad we won but we were one made open Bonga 3 from losing. Bonga 0-5 on open corner 3s.

The biggest problem I had with Javonte tonight was that no one has to play him on defense. He played hard all game but he should never be a starter.

Well Bonga is not a 3 point shooter. That was good defense.

We've been losing games because that's not always Bonga on those corner 3s. That's my point. Indiana also missed a ton of open threes. The good teams aren't missing all those open corner 3s.

Don't disagree with this.

But how many games have the Celtics had where they lose by 1 or 2 possessions and it's on a night where someone like Kemba shoots 5-22? I'll gladly take the wins however they come

Me too. I just want the Celtics to play better.

I mean, it is what it is. And if Smart and JB were healthy and playing, Cs might have won by more than 10 pts.

Yeah I do too. Ultimately though I think this team can only go on a deep playoff run IF and only if they are close to fully healthy. And that also means not having significant minutes restrictions on guys. Smart needs to return, Kemba needs to stay healthy and so do others like Timelord. Of course, a midseason trade or addition would help (even if it's bench scoring) but we'll see what they do.

Why couldn't Celtics limit Beal. Surely Brad Stevens had a game plan to counter Washington's primary scorer

Thompson tough under the basket with 13 rebounds.
He's been really solid over Feb. Was inefficient today, but he's been really reliable from the field (62%) and has been getting after the offensive rebounds, including eight against Atlanta. All our veterans, being Teague, Thompson and most importantly Kemba, have been rounding into nice form. Just unfortunate that it is coinciding with Brown having a tendonitis flare up and Tatum suffering from COVID after-effects
