Tatum with 2 points in 16 minutes. That's the issue. When he doesn't shoot well, he just flat out struggles. That's the next step in his game. Usually the superstars in the league can still find ways to help and put up points when they struggle shooting.

yes and no

he is not ball stopping

that is a plus already

I'm not worried about 1-7

He can turn it on in the 2nd half

He is ball stopping. I'm tired of hearing about going into his bag. His bag is empty tonight. Spread the ball around.

the bench is saving this game for the celtics so far. thank you misters pritchard, williams, and teague.

less iso, more passing.

i can tell within 1-2 seconds whether tatum is going iso or will pass. once he commits to iso he will take the shot, regardless of whether it is a good one or not.

still. down by 14. now up by 1. okay, i will take it.  ;D

Everyone else on the floor can tell too. Too predicable.

Celtics FG 45.5%   3PT 30.8  FT 17 for 20 from the line
Pacers FG 43.2   3PT 43.5%  FT 12 for 13

Benches
Celtics 47 minutes 27 points
Pacers 37 minutes 19 points

Teague, Pritchard and Williams came into the game and made it happen...27 points...the Pacers were reeling. Nesmith was all over the court like he had little jet engines on his sneakers.

Wish Tommy was still around to say he loves Payton!

Bench better than starters tonight. Ride them Brad!

Kobe's iso was run out of a triangle offense with Shaq and other shooters. He was ready to pass when neded.

Tatum's iso actually disrupts ball movement offense that Brad preaches.

Same process, but different environment. Different result.

Should we continue with this?

I just realized how vital Smart is on our defensive schemes. He's the one telling people where to position on defense.

He's the one screaming at Tatum to pass the [dang] ball!

It should be the catalyst for the offence, which it is. The problem seems to be when that isn't working there's no cohesive alternative.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I hope the bench gets a lot of run in the second half!
