To be honest, if I never saw another bad Tatum iso turnaround, I might not be mad. Way, way, way too overreliant on those now. It's like he was in his second year.

I don't like watching Tatum. He coasts too much and it's annoying.

He makes them enough for him to believe it’s a good shot.

Plus/minus of starters vs the bench tells the whole story. All bench players are a plus all starters except Theis are a minus.

That was good first half. I just hope JT and JB don’t try too hard to get their stats in the 2nd half. Hope to see the ball movement continue.

Wyc disagrees.  He works very hard and is charming  8)

I think a large part of the offense looking as good as it has today is obviously the bench, but also the offense isn't running solely through Tatum as it has recently. Unfortunately his game is primarily isolation oriented with him expanding his ability as a pick and roll ballhandler. The ball will stagnate more often the more Tatum is featured.

Tatum with 2 points in 16 minutes. That's the issue. When he doesn't shoot well, he just flat out struggles. That's the next step in his game. Usually the superstars in the league can still find ways to help and put up points when they struggle shooting.

Yeah that one that goes in makes him think it’s money. Until he starts going 0 for those shots he won’t stop.

JT with 2 points on 1-7 FGA. 14%.
Theis 5 points on 1-3 FGA. 33%.

The rest are playing better than 42% FG%.

Guess in the second half we are gping to see JT chucking up more shots to get to his usual 20 points.

yes and no

he is not ball stopping

that is a plus already

I'm not worried about 1-7

He can turn it on in the 2nd half

the bench is saving this game for the celtics so far. thank you misters pritchard, williams, and teague.

less iso, more passing.

i can tell within 1-2 seconds whether tatum is going iso or will pass. once he commits to iso he will take the shot, regardless of whether it is a good one or not.

still. down by 14. now up by 1. okay, i will take it.  ;D

Pretty significant that this has become a more common occurrence since his COVID
