Danny on toucher and rich now

What is up with the media blitz from the front office and ownership?

It seems like there's enough work to be done fixing the team that some level of the leadership could avoid giving an impromptu interview to the media for a day or so.

I don't know how often they get Wyc on but pretty sure Ainge & Gorman are weekly appearances on the Celtics flagship station.

Its like an assembly line of apologies

I'm not going to bother listening to Brad

Interestingly, Ainge called in late because he was on another call.

Danny Ainge says the #Celtics have been 'close' on deals a couple times already this year: masslive.com/celtics/2021/0…“

Lol 😂 😂. Who would have thought. Price was the problem I would assume

Danny suggests they brought in the wrong players (without naming names) and suggests that there were missed opportunities in the off-season.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda, but...

* Make the Turner / McDermott / #1 trade

* Give Milsap a 3rd year

* Draft Xavier Tilman; trade Kanter to Portland

* Sign Cousins

Turner / Cousins / Williams
Milsap / Theis / Tilman
Tatum / McDermott / Langford
Brown / Smart / Nesmith
Kemba / Pritchard / Teague

For me

I know Ibaka would have been a great grab.  But Danny would have had to find cap space and fork over 15 million per season

Draft Saddiq Bey and Bane.  He wanted 3 pt help, and these guys would have helped right away.

At the PG position, he probably regrets not resigning Wannamaker (only pennies more expensive).  A 6'4 strong body/versatile defense plus 3 pt shooting target

Danny couldn't make this trade even if he wanted to. Wyc was not going to sign off on it

To keep the two Jays from one day pulling a Harden and saying they want out.

TP for the Wanamaker  call out. We really are missing that Wanamaker/Turner type on the bench.

That’s the first that I have heard that reasoning. Is there any proof of that, other than absolutely pure conjecture?

Wyc said it yesterday... not word for word

but he was not going to be a repeat luxury tax payer in this economic climate (covid)

They are not going to use the major TPE by the trade deadline (unlikely he said) ,  which is another clue
