... when?

The easy answer is Kyrie’s final year, but even that season had some bright spots before the playoffs.

I am having a hard time coming up with any redeeming qualities of this season so far.

Since Brad 1st year as head coach.  But even that team at least tried harder on defense

It’s been pretty brutal, but there are some positives. Brown is at a level I never thought he would reach. 25.5 ppg scorer shooting 40+% from 3pt. Pritchard and Rob Williams are going to be significant pieces for the the C’s going forward. Brown is 24, Timelord is 23 and Tatum and Pritchard are 22. Future still looks promising.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

1997- 15-67 was not a lot of fun. Especially when we lost the lottery and a chance at a once in a generation superstar.

I think our expectations are just too high with the parts that we have right now. At least in 97 we did not get trolled though.

That was a terrible season

That was the year Pitino just quit on the team no?

I know it's the easy answer, but the Irving year. I hated watching that team.

While this team makes me crazy, and many times it's not enjoyable basketball, I think they can play better. They just need to move the ball and work harder on the defensive end.

They have shown they can play better, they need to learn to do it for 4 quarters. I can't remember watching a team blow more leads. They simply can't close out a game.

ML Carr was the coach! He tanked us perfectly only to come away robbed by the lotto balls! Pitino came in after and soon after let Billups go because we know Billups would never amount to anything. Pitinio could not figure out which position to play Billups! Good ole days.

And then Billups eventually ended winning a championship and having a nice career

They should have been more patient

I forget - was it also Pitino who traded Joe Johnson for Tony Delk and Rodney Rogers?

Eh, I'm enjoying the season. It's a welcome distraction from everything else going on in the world. And I didn't have high expectations coming in, so I'm not really feeling the disappointment others are.

That 2nd year with Irving was horrible.   I think this year is better than that one.  At least Kemba's vibe is positive and he isn't calling out the young players while at the same time being a huge hypocrite.  Kyrie was destructive to the team.

Our two young players have improved and I don't think that we can chalk this up to personal chemistry issues like it was with Kyrie / Morris.  It feels more like not on the same page issues, and guys are just not giving the effort at times.  A lot of growing pains from trying to find out how good Tatum and Brown can be.

If Kemba can't be a 18-20 point release valve scorer and improve the team, then DA needs to make some hard decisions in the off season.  Hopefully Smart coming back will make the team more fun to watch.  (did I just say that?  haha)

I'm going 05-06 season. So many players I hated and disliked on the roster with the exception of Pierce and Big Al.

I know Kyrie gets a lot of hate here, but I was happy Danny traded for him. Seeing Kyrie play whenever I put on a Celtics game during his time here, was fun for me. He might be the best offensive player I have ever seen.

That was Wallace.  Pitino was already long gone at that point.
