Least enjoyable Celtics team to watch in quite some time.

I like brad stevens, really do but he should’ve been fired yesterday

WHY IS KEMBA IN THIS GAME???

This is all on Brad.

I thought Kemba was on a minutes restriction?

I'll give you 34 million reason lol. Also PP is a rookie so the contract plus the previous fact makes it obvious why he isn't out there.

Also PP has struggled to create with the ball in his hands and has largely been stymied as the Pelicans physicality and length became a problem for us.

Bench shot 10-15 in this game. Maybe they should get more shots.

That would take away from Tatum's stats

A lot of those shots are created by both Jayson Tatum and Brown making plays while being doubled and while making plays as well.

If you want Brad to play the bench more maybe we should upgrade it?

Ojeyele, Payton Pritchard, Aaron Neismith, and Robert Williams is among the worst benches in the league.

Of course people don't understand context or the limitations of these players.

Payton Pritchard is good, but it was obvious his lack of elite athleticism and foot quickness really limited him today against this NO team. Aaron Neismith literally wouldn't do anything without ball handlers and playmakers because he seriously lacks even average ball handling skills at this stage in his career. Robert Williams gets all of his points off lobs and hustle plays. Right now of those players only PP is the only player you could actually run a set with and even somewhat expect to create plays with the basketball in their hands.

You want Tatum and Brown to stop jacking up all these shots contested/ difficult shots? Get better on ball playmakers! Expect Kemba to perform better because currently he's not creating a lot of good shots for himself or others.

Some of the biggest issues with this team right now are lack of a true point guard that can play both sides of the basketball and be a primary ball handler and lack of a startable front court. There's no reason on God's green Earth that Daniel Theis and Tristan Thompson should be starting in today's NBA at either front court position. Well maybe if we had like AD or something at either the PF or C positions.

Little do people understand, once you solidify the frontcourt defensively the rest will follow. Al Horford wasn't an elite shotblocker or anything, but his ability to switch onto guards and at least match the physicality/length of opposing frontcourts was huge for us. When you have defensive seives at the 4, 5, and 1 you don't have a good defense it is what it is.

I agree that Boston's bench is pretty meh, but the bench wasn't the problem tonight. The "big three" shot Boston out of it.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

It's getting really old watching the Celtics slowly walk the ball up the floor. We have players that can run but we slowly walk the ball up the floor most of the game. Even PP who ran a bunch in collage just slowly walks it up. As Tommy would say "Run, run, run!"

Yep. Instead, teams are running it on us, and we're awful at getting back on defense.

I really want to know what's going on inside the locker room post game. Each of the player's reaction.

This should be a defining moment in each of the player heart, and the coach too. Do they really care for the Celtics or only to serve them? (Ego, potential big contracts, etc).

It's time for Danny to really decide who really fit the Celtics culture and keep them. The rest, trade them.

Oh one more, please get a legitimate center, Danny. Too much 3s will kill the Celtics. We are not the Warriors, and will never be.

No, Ainge will just blame it all on himself.

When clearly a lot of the problems are on Brad and Kemba.

Well, Ainge has already gone on record blaming it on himself for putting this team together.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Disappointing we gave up a 24 point lead, but even at that point Kemba and Jaylen were both terrible. Actually - earlier on when we were still up by double digits - Kemba, Jaylen, and Tatum were all horrible.

The defense completely fell apart and we simultaneously stopped getting our other guys involved. The lane violation screwed us - turned a 2 point play into a 4 point play and that was pretty much game.

Lackluster/entitled play with a big lead, weird/bad reffing, and horrendous night by two of our 3 featured guys. Also, Tatum was an idiot for dribbling the ball on that last play - he was obviously going to get fouled.

Oh, well, on to the next game.

  • GOT IT!!!
This isn’t the Kemba I thought we would be getting. Just magnifies the loss of Hayward even more if he continues to stink it up. Depressing with that contract.

I guess Tatum was trying to surprise New Orleans by missing the first and hoping for a rebound, pitch out and a 3-pointer, but those are long odds.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Robert Williams is a legitimate center. So's Thompson and Theis. That has not been our problem this year.

Yeah, the energy is just not there for a 48 minute game. TIMELORD should be starting. KEMBA should've sat most of this game. I guess it was always going to be a rough year.
