Wouldn't mind Cousins because I think he'd also add additional toughness to the team.

But for all the flack we give Thompson, Cousins isn't playing that much better. He is having a better season than Thompson for sure, but not by a large margin.

I agree with additional posters above. It only makes sense if you move another big somehow (maybe through trade or something).

Adding Cousins though still can allow you to pursue a trade using the TPE

Simple question: how does he do when defending Embiid?
How well does anyone defend Embiid nowadays?  Embiid has scored at least 25 points in his last 13 games and over 30 points in 11 of those games.

No brainer, take him.  Figure it out later.

+1

Celtics could have had him in the off-season for the Vet minimum. I don’t think they want a players with character issues after the whole Kyrie debacle.

He’s kinda cooked. Is he reaaaaally any better than the bigs they have? I don’t think so.

I think he is.  And, he’d free us up to trade one to clear salary, too.

He’s been in double digits with at least seven rebounds the last four games.
I can literally say the same about TT though. I understand he’s big but he’s never been a good defender and I don’t really think he solves any of the Cs problems. Seems like he’s a Kanter 2.0 situation where he can’t be played in certain situations.

I believe the Celtics can get him if they want him. I don't see Ainge and Stevens showing any interest in him though. I can't see them adding big who doesn't have the quickness to defend in their system.

He will go somewhere he can have a great chance to win a ring. That will be somewhere with established superstars. So.....the Lakers, the Clippers, the Nets. Those would be my guesses.

He won't be deciding on Boston. Sorry CSers, that's not happening.

Why wouldn’t CBS play him?  He’d immediately be the best passing big we have, and the best outside shooter.

Stevens prioritizes defense when deciding playing time. Cousins just doesn't have the lateral quickness to defend in Stevens system.

I like Cousins, he's extremely skilled and has a strong desire to win. Ainge and Stevens have repeatedly shown no interest in him for several years now, going back to his days in Sacramento.

Would I want Cousins? Absolutely. Do Ainge and Stevens want him? I highly doubt it.

So I may be remembering this incorrectly but I thought the Cs were a finalist for him when he decided to sign with the Warriors?

The Lakers are a good candidate as people said, but with AD, Gasol, and Harrell there's not much of a role for Cousins there.

I can see the Sixers as a great fit. Doc loves his vets, and Cousins would be great next to Embiid.
