I bet most teams (if not all of them) are losing money this season due to covid. It's possible that plenty of teams will be looking to mitigate their financial loses at the trade deadline by dumping salary for cap relief. First team that comes to mind is the Warriors.
Don't get the fascination for Barnes. Imo, he's overpaid. The absolute most I'd be willing to offer would be our 2021 first + Thompson (good riddance). If my math is correct, the Kings would save $12,957,909 in salary and the C's would end up $1,415,413 below the tax line. Not even sure I'd do that tbh. My opening bid would probably be Edwards + Thompson. The Kings would still save about $11.5 million which is nothing to sneeze at in the midst of a recession.
