His inconsistent rotations stagnate chemistry and player development. High ceiling players like Rob Williams, Langford, Pritchard, and Nesmith should be given every chance to develop instead of these matchup-based and spot minute rotations.

The inconsistent rotations are certainly frustrating to watch during the regular season, especially the earliest parts of the season.

Haven't we seen a lot of young guys develop and become useful players during Brad's tenure?  Brad certainly requires players to earn this playing time through defensive effort and discipline first and foremost.  I tend to think that's a good thing.  I know we all want to see Rob Williams play more but apart from health the main reason he hasn't played more is that he's just not a very disciplined or reliable defensive player.

What do you mean by "every chance to develop"?  Are you saying Brad should just earmark 15-20 minutes a night for guys that the team drafts with a 1st round pick?

Every chance to develop means to allow high ceiling prospects to play through mistakes instead of having the player(s) play worry about being pulled from the game(s) after a missed assignment and uncertain that they’re even going in the game. It’s like making a star baseball prospect a pinch hitter.

Smart, Tatum, and Brown were given minutes and allowed to play through their mistakes because of their draft standing and after demonstrating reasonable competence of the system/playbook, RW3, Langford, Pritchard, and Nesmith should be going into a game knowing that they’re going to receive minutes.

I like Stevens....but its time for a more Creative coach...I mean how much harm would it have been to play Tacko against Boban for a few minutes...?
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

The only better coach who might be available is Tony Bennett, unless Pops can be attracted...

Exactly. So, Time Lord still has some mental lapses.

He also has the highest steal rate, block rate, rebounding rate, shooting percentage and defensive rating on the team. That should be enough to stay on the floor.

Looking in the direction of the speaker from a distance of 7 feet (2 meters) is a clear sign of listening to that person.

I'm starting to wonder if they are tuning him out. There seems to be a disconnect between what Brad wants them to do and what they are doing on the court. And they look leaderless. I know Smartacus isn't on the floor but there doesn't seem to a guy that can get them all pulling in the same direction, whether it's by words or by deeds. Both our young stars are having better individual seasons than ever but the team is 2 games below .500 and looks spineless when push comes to shove. They put together great stretches occasionally but they can't keep it going consistently, and there seems to be a very casual attitude towards losing.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Well, Tatum isn’t tuning Stevens out...

Because of the team’s poor play, some have speculated that Celtics’ head coach Brad Stevens could be on the hot seat if he is unable to turn things around.

Jayson Tatum is not one of those people. In an interview with Boston.com’s Tom Westerholm, Tatum defended Stevens and says that blame doesn’t fall solely on the coaching staff.

“Brad is great,” Tatum said. “He always has us prepared. It’s not like the lack of preparation with us, or game planning, or not knowing what we need to know, from a coaching standpoint.”

“We’re all one team. So everyone has to take some take some blame, but Brad does more than his part. And I’m a big believer that there’s still other guys on the court that have to make the difference. So it’s not like it’s Brad’s fault.”

Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I agree with Tatum there. I think the problems here lie much more on the players themselves.

So behind this backing the coach message

He is putting some of his teammates under the bus  ;D

Which ultimately points the arrow towards Ainge

Jayson what do you think the work Ainge did in the offseason?

Here is the deal with his comment. One he sees as a dad like mentor from his youth turning him into a man.. The other he sees has his boss who treats him like the man he is. He himself says Coach K wouldn't work in the NBA.

His quote is exactly what a grown man should say. Brad is his boss coach was his mentor.
ok fine
