Nope.  No need to trade a potential solid starter for a limited rile player.  Remember Chauncey Billips?!?!?  No need to repeat that blunder.
that was not a blunder.  not by a longshot.  always a poor example to use of a young player traded away early in their career.  Billups needed to get to his 5th team before becoming a decent starter quality player.  we got Kenny Anderson in that deal and he was a big key in getting the C's to the next level as a team.

People are screaming about Romeo and Nesmith being busts in the 2nd and 1st years respectively and you think Billups as the #3 pick would have been give the 6 years here he needed before he became decent.  That's not taking into account that he never averaged 20 points a game as a #3 pick.  he'd have been run out of town long before that point if he hadn't been traded

Theis is a better player than RLopez in every way.

I don't get the height fetish some have on this site.
could be they've spent their lives being told "size matters".  make of that what you will.  8)
They need to learn:
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's size of the fight in the dog that counts!!!😉😁😎

Not arguing against your reasoning, but when did "never averaged 20 points per game" become a serious argument about player quality? Steve Nash never averaged 20PPG in his career, yet he's one of the greatest offensive players of all time with unrivalled results as an on-ball engine.
