Good looks but so many misses

Reminds me of horror vs Heat

93-88 with 2:30 min left. And to lose 96-93. Brutal

Yeah, too bad we still have no shooters off the bench.

With Kemba out, Smart is basically our #3 guy on the roster. Not ideal.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Can't wait for Kemba to come back and hopefully for us to use the TPE. We are very limited offensively unless we are draining 3s. Also, pretty disappointed to see Grant and Plumlee destroy us. We are only 'okay' right now.

I hope the Celtics had a great time last night because it certainly looked like they were playing hungover.
agreed.  started off like they were just pulled in from an AAU league 15 minutes beforehand

These 2 Jays are not as good as we would like to proclaim them .

Mentally, they are still average players.

Sorry but shooting 50% from FT line as a team is just not acceptable.
7-14 isn't going to get it down with Smart himself 0-3.

19 TO's and 20 assists is a very bad ratio as well.  that first quarter was too much of a whole to dig out of and get to a sustainable lead.  still should have won

those 19 turnovers killed us, that and the J's being cold from 3.  Smart's bad shot selection and bad turnovers were a big part as well.

For me, the shine on Marcus Smart is coming of a bit.  He is a def monster, but for all that toughness and hustle he kills us at times at the other end.  Just kills us.

yup.  and when he's back, Smart's still our 4th best and that's not a good thing for us either

Who was worse tonight, Thompson or Smart?

Smart thinks someone needs his offense. He thinks he’s the 3rd

option and that’s not good.

You know what the sad part is? With this current roster and no Kemba he is in the 3rd option...

Lol wow, C's didn't score a single point in the last 4:15. Deserved loss

I hope we don't get a "we got good looks but the shots didn't fall" Brad Stevens cop out. I want to see him call this team out to get to the hoop.

whatever you get it will be soft.

No big deal.  Celtics had a few nice opportunities to tie up or take the lead, the shots just didn't drop. They were all good shots, though - Tatum's corner 3, Smart's iso floater, and Brown's 3.

This was also the third game in four nights at the beginning of a season with a short layoff.

Detroit's better than their record suggests, too.  They play hard, defend, and have two MIP candidates in Grant and Jackson.

All good. On to the next one.

I've been saying all season that Marcus has shown he's not a starting-caliber PG.  too many TO's and ineffective in running an offense.

Look, if Thompson can't stop the likes of Plumlee from looking like Shaq, he shouldn't be playing. Dang shame that Timelord got injured.

Teague is a better offensive player than Smart. If Smart is the 3rd option then that’s bad. He need some players that can play still.
