Did not see game - How is it possible that the Celtics did not score the last 4+ minutes ? How does that happen ?
Tatum, Brown, and Smart don't know who the alpha is yet. Tatum should be, but Brown and Smart have really stepped up. In a way, no egos and cameraderie is amazing, but eventually they'll have to figure this out. They also looked tired after 3 games in 4 nights.
There is no world in which Marcus Smart, with all his limitations, is an Alpha. The problem lies in the fact he thinks he is.
What’s funny is that people on this board didn’t want Tatum to shoot the last shot and they got their wish. They got a bunch of other guys trying to hit a shot. Well, GWill, JB, and Smart (twice) all missed down the stretch. Granted, Tatum too missed an open corner 3 off a great timeout play by CBS. But it’s weird that now we’re questioning Tatum’s “alpha” as if he hadn’t been taking the last shots the past few games and we were crucifying him for it.
It seems pretty clear (to me, at least) that Tatum is the #1 on this team and JB is clearly our #2. It’s like Lillard-McCollum. Marcus Smart though... idk. There are some nights he plays his role well and other nights he thinks he’s a scorer.
