Edwards it tiny. It is hard to get your shot off in the NBA when you are the shortest guy on the floor.
We saw IT4 become a 29ppg scorer and MVP candidate. Edwards is bricking wide open shots. It’s between his ears, not his height.
I disagree. In college he was the best athlete on the floor and his size didn't matter, it matters in the NBA. It just doesn't come easy and he doesn't have the physical ability to overcome his size. Very few players do. Obviously IT4 is one of those guys (as was Mugsy Bogues and a few others). Size matters. And to be fair, he wasn't an elite shooter at Purdue. He was a good shooter, certainly, but far from elite. His 2nd year he shot elite, but the other two he was just good, and that is just from 3. He was only hitting 2 point shots at 45.5%. And he only scored 1.25 points per shot attempt in his career.
Nesmith was a much better shooter in college than Edwards was. Over 1.36 pps as well. And has NBA size. Edwards quite simply got a reputation on here that wasn't exactly accurate. He was a small very good but not elite shooter in college. That does not bode well as a predictor of NBA success.
