Romeo is a bust and injury prone...no one will touch him . Bulls will laugh at that offer.
Romeo hasn’t done anything yet, that I agree with. But you can’t call him a bust yet. A busy is a player who’s been healthy, given chances, and shown nothing - James Young. Romeo, when healthy, is clearly an NBA defender and shows good ball-handling and feel for the game. Can he stay healthy enough to develop is a legitimate question, but I don’t think we know yet.
I think it is very clear what Langford has shown and not shown. I feel he has shown that he can play at the NBA level even in one injury-interrupted season, including some decent minutes in the playoffs. That is more already than James Young ever was able to show and more than many 20 year old rookies show in their first season.
What Langford has not done is show that he has the physical durability to stay on the court or get through an NBA season. That he still has to prove and until he does, there will be a question mark attached to him (rightly so) and will diminish his trade value.
To jump to a conclusion of either extreme, bust vs. budding star, is just silly. It is still very possible he is a bust but if he is, it will be because of durability, not skill or ability. I feel it is a bit early to give up on him though. I believe he has a decent chance to become a very good player, a starting level wing, in the next couple of seasons.
