There is a Utah Jazz fan out there somewhere that has put a curse on Hayward, and it's still in effect. I'm a fan of Gordon and wish him nothing but the best. With all the injuries he has had to deal with, I just hope he hasn't lost his love for the game.

I think so

And GH agent is a genius. Get one more large contract for the road

If he picked up the player option... his value likely drops quite a bit after this new injury scare

Yeah, that contract was like pulling a rabbit out of a hat.

A relatively minor injury this time, but yeah, I'm glad we don't have to deal with Hayward injuries anymore.

Good for him that he's got his money already.

I'm glad he's somebody else's disappointment, now.

This is unfortunate, but t least it's nothing serious.

I'm not the biggest fan of Hayward as a player - I don't dislike is game by any means, it just doesn't excite me.  He's a bit too "Al Horford" like in his demeanour -  too nice, laid back, polite, unselfish.  It's like the guy doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body.  He's a very gifted and skilled player and I can only imagine how good he COULD be if he had the mentality of say, a Jimmy Butler - he'd be an absolute stud.

That being said he seems like a genuine nice guy, and you hate to see a good guy have to go through as many setbacks as he has the past few years.   hope he's able to stay healthy through the rest of this contract.

I think it's looking more like made of glass than bad luck.

Once he's back, who takes the bet that he'll avoid a significant injury for the rest of the year (never mind the rest of the contract)?

Injuries aside I don’t think you can win it all if Hayward is your top player. I think his best role going forward is as a super 6th man. He was smart to take that big long term contract. His family is set now and for the future.

I read he dropped some gold bars on his hand. He was bringing them home to let his kids play blocks with them. Freak accident. Could happen to anyone.  😢

Wow, imagine if Danny had resigned him for 4/$100 or thereabouts. The top 10 threads right now would all be variants of FIRE AINGE.

Just like the man says, sometimes it's the deals you *don't* make...

you seem to be saying that with only the measly $25,000,000 per year being offered by the celtics on top of his career earnings of $151,000,000 that his future was insecure.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

just for the record, his wife and wife's family is worth multiple times what GH is worth in his career.

Yeah, that always makes me laugh.  He’s already made $150 mill plus more from his Chinese shoe deal which I think pays about $6 mill per year’ and other endorsements.  So in 4 years, he’ll have made maybe about $300+ million in his career by choosing Charlotte rather than maybe $280+ mill by remaining with the Celtics.  Of course there are other factors like quality of life that we as fans can’t be sure about.

I’ve seen you mention this before.  I googled it and didn’t find anything about her family’s wealth.  Do you have any info on this you can share.
