Rockets look surprisingly adequate against Portland so far. It seems like harden is arguing with a teammate after every basket for the blazers

Harden already has 7 assists and he is a vocal leader....

Looking at the bulls it’s safe to assume we will not be using the TPE on any of their players

James Harden step back three from downtown!!!! Tie game again. Liliard scores to put Portland up by two but Harden comes with another step back three... Rockets go up by 1. Harden putting on a show.

I think we really need Harden's 44 points and 17 assists on this team. If the C's are going to contend, that kind of offensive power is what we need.

Our old friend Kanter had a solid night with 10 points and 9 boards

Christian Wood is legit. 31 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists on 14-22 from the floor in his regular season debut for the Rockets.

We should have signed Wood instead of Thompson. Could have easily beaten Houston's offer of Ariza + Isaiah Stewart (#16) + future second. I realize that Danny's priority was to keep Hayward, in which case it was practically impossible to target Wood. What bothers me is that we didn't have a backup plan. Danny knew that Hayward was planning to walk. We should have instantly targeted Christian Wood. The timing wasn't ideal, but he was definitely a realistic target. Too late now. Wood can't be traded till February 5. By then he'll be practically untouchable. At the very least, he won't be a bargain anymore.

It’s Harden doing that ;)

Wood is an elite roller and very good cutter, but he can also put the ball on the floor and create his own shot. Check out the plays at 0:31, 1:02, 1:11 and 1:30 of the video (especially the ones at 1:30 and 1:02). How many Centers around the NBA can do that? Not many, that's for sure. Certainly no one from our current roster.

Yeah, I was just being silly. I think being alongside Harden is ideal for him as Harden is an insanely good PnR player, but Wood has the goods.

Wood is on a crazy bargain deal too. PJ Tucker is such a good counter to him
