Harden is talented but he's the epitome of a loser. How many game 7s has he not shown up? His game is also very boring to me. Dribble for 20 seconds then throw up a 3 or try and draw a foul by flopping

He and westbrook didn't mesh because they both are ball hogs. How would he work on the Nets with 2 other guys who need to operate with the ball in their hands.

Assuming his list of 4 teams is accurate and the 76ers and Heat are offering Simmons and Herro, respectively, if you're Houston which player do you want?

Simmons for sure.

Honestly if Simmons is on the table, I'm not sure there is any reasonable package that can beat that offer from any team.  Simmons is a 24 year old 3rd Team All NBA player that was also on the 1st Team All Defense and is signed long term.  Tatum could potentially be on the Simmons level from a value standpoint, but there is no reasonable financial way for Boston to acquire Harden without either Kemba or Brown and Smart, and in either of those Boston isn't including Tatum because the team left behind wouldn't be good enough (and would be too much value for Harden anyway).
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

With the horrible stuff that Embiid does on the court, and and the awful stuff that Harden does on the court will there be a team more easy to hate?

I mean I will always despise lebron and any team he is one, I will always despise the Lakers.

But that Philly team will be easier to root against than the bad boy pistons.

Video is mostly Harden and Embiid. with a spackling of Butler.

I agree that Kyrie and Harden would be an issue but Durant has already demonstrated that he can fit in with other stars just fine based on his time with GSW.   I think Harden and Durant together would be lethal.  If the Nets decide to trade for Harden, they should probably be thinking some kind of 3-way where Kyrie goes out and Harden come in.  Not sure why a 3rd team would want to help in this way though.

He put every single legitimate eastern contender on his list except for Boston. Lol idk why any Boston fan would entertain trading for him

Harden back at training with the Rockets. Still wants a trade but will professional in the meantime. Will play in the next game.

Translation -- Harden is a coward and an idiot. You can't bully your team into trading you and be professional at the same time. It is one or the other! Pick one and do it. Don't faff about.

Conclusion -- Houston can stand their ground and refuse to trade Harden. He will be professional and continue to play for the Rockets. They are not backed into a corner. They have the power. They hold the cards. Harden has already folded his hand.

Pathetic display from Harden. If you are going to do something then do it. Don't halfway do it. Do it!

he’s a coward who won’t put his money where his mouth is. He loses a lot of money per game he doesn’t play. I haven’t done the math but I’m sure he gets paid around $30k to 50k per game played

He gets paid roughly $500K per game ($41+ million/82 games)

With a high asking price and questions about his adaptability to another franchise, the Houston Rockets are finding the market for James Harden to be slow to develop.

"The notion of a former MVP still in his prime being available would typically bring all 30 teams running, but the combination of Harden’s ball-dominant style, defensive reputation and personality appear to be tempering interest," writes Sam Amick of The Athletic.

Harden prefers a trade to the Brooklyn Nets or Philadelphia 76ers.

“Harden is a terrific scorer, but not a champion,” a front office executive told The Athletic. “He isn’t a two-way player and (he’s) hard to play with. …He is so used to getting his own way, I think there are concerns he can negatively affect a team’s culture.”

I wonder if that front office executive is Morey trying to temper market interest so he doesn't have to include as much draft compensation. He might be right, but this could also be clever market manipulation.

Report out now that Philly is willing to trade Simmons.

To me that basically guarantees Harden will be a Sixer.  Just comes down to what peripherals will be in the deal.

Curry, Harden, Green, Tobias, Embiid

That's the lineup you've gotta beat.  It doesn't scare me defensively, but very hard to defend.

Ironically should have kept Josh Richardson if they get Harden.
