why did they sign Teague.... are they planning to flip some players?

Wanamaker left

what about Pritchard, Waters, Edwards....play these people or move them.

Waters is the pg for Maine Claws. Practice player

Edwards is a spot up 3 specialist... or hopefully becomes one ala Eddie House.

Theis / Thompson / Williams
Tatum / Williams / Semih
Brown / Langford / Nesmith
Smart  / Edwards
Kemba / Teague / Pritchard

Room for one more?

Generous slotting Edwards as backup 2.   Of course, Brown and Kemba also will have minutes there.

Do you like Edwards?

Not particularly.  I’d be happy with a vet in his place.

Seriously... C's have five guys who can play PG Smart, Kemba, Waters, Edwards, Pritchards why sign Teague? They just lost Hayward, sign a big wing player. What is the obsession with guards?

Maybe because 3 out of the 5 guys you mentioned likely won’t see significant minutes this year?

You feel comfortable playing scrubs or a rookie when Kemba sits out?

Need a combo forward to slot in ahead of Grant Williams and Semi. They should not be relied on for regular minutes next season.

Maybe Grant's not ready for big rotation minutes on a contender this coming year, but I liked his rookie season. What did you think?

So you guys are saying all those guys were bad picks? Because if they can't play and are 3rd stringers how do we keep saying DA is doing a great job drafting.

It's nothing but green kool-aid around here with everything DA does. These are bad moves or a lot of bad picks. You can't have both be positives. Pritchard, Edwards and Waters aren't 19 year olds. If they can't play they should be cut.

And you still have Smart and three other guys besides him who play SG to allow Smart to play PG. So again you don't need Teague. DA is blowing the off season.

Because waters is a second round pick, and edwards is a late 1st rounder. Most guys at that position do not pan out. You do not have to naul every pick to be a good drafter, but you have to get a couple good ones. The key is having a lot of draft picks so you have a lot roll of the dice. Even the best GMs have a lot of duds in their resumes, the important thing is to nail a lot of your high draft picks and have decent latter picks which danny has done consistently

why cant mart run the offense when Kemba sits and then you can have Edwards at the 2 guard jacking up 3s. Waters is capable of running the point... Again if they are not ready ship them out.

It's still a very long season, there will be chances for young players to get on the court so they better be ready when their number is called. Thompson and Teague are solid pros coming off the bench something we were missing last year.

Maybe langford can be primary backup 2 if we get another solid wing.

That is part of developing players. You have to play them.

It's like DA forgot the lesson he learned with Doc. Doc would not play Rondo till DA traded West and left him little options. If you have Teague these guys will not get playing time and develop. BS will go with the safe player.

Development is important but not at the cost of wasting opportunities to go compete for championships. The Cs are very young and they need veterans on the roster. There’s no summer league and virtually zero training camp this year before the season starts. That’s a lot to put on rookies.

Definitely one of Danny’s better picks late in the first round 👍

Oh yeah, I liked it too. He is just too much of a tweener (PF/C) for now. He has to improve that perimeter jump-shot to show himself worthy of a place in the rotation (as PF). The rest of his game looks solid.
