I’m sorry, but losing horford, kyrie, and now Gordon is bad.  But factor in that there wasn’t seemingly a proactive plan to deal with the possibility then I think he should be on the hot seat.

We’re taking steps back when we should be moving forward.

What in the hell is going on ????

Everyone in the league is getting better and our roster is going backwards. Did Ainge push for too much in the Hayward - Myles Turner trade talks and end up getting burned ?  Looked to me like a Hayward for Turner deal with other small pieces fit in was a no-brainer for us. This is disastrous.

Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

1. Losing kyrie isn't bad. It's good

2. Kyrie from day 1 seemed disinterested. Celtics weren't on his list

He shouldn't have a job. Whether it's health reasons or whatever is going on with him, the man is no longer equipped to be the GM of the Celtics.

Can't blame him for not overpaying guys on the back end of their careers. He was right to let Horford walk at that money and same for Hayward.

He's still done a great job of putting together an excellent young core of talent who already have a ton of deep playoff experience now.

I'm not advocating he get fired, but I'll admit I am starting to sour a little on him. He's had numerous chances to pull the trigger on moves not just for the long term, but to increase our own chances of a title mid-season and he didn't do much (besides the occasional buyout signing like Monroe).

Now yet again, it seems they just don't care about the center position. Can't wait to see Adebayo, Giannis, etc. etc. just kill us again come playoff time  ::)

And the East continues to get better. Right now I can't see the C's as a Top-4 team in the East, and maybe not even Top-5.

We’re taking steps back when we should be moving forward.

We don't know that yet.

Let's see how '20-21 plays out first.

Maybe I'd entertain the notion if DA does nothing from here on this off-season.  But to be fair, it makes sense to see the entirety of the off-season, not 2 days.

He should be on the hot seat because he couldn’t force Indy to give Hayward $120 mil?

I often wonder this too. People around here honestly do not remember the pre-Ainge years and how inept management was.

Or because he didn't want to overpay Horford, who was just salary dumped by his new team?

I think it's probably the only way to make some people here see how fortunate the Celtics have with Danny and Wyc running the show.

If I'm the owner I'm wondering why I've been paying all this money to these guys and now have a team farther away from a championship and how long do I have to wait for Danny's 15 year rebuild plan to actually get me close to a championship.
