That doesnt work financially  unless its a sign and trade at 25 mill a season.

There would have to be more money coming back....

They need to add an other 1 mill ish to make it work.

I’m hearing, from a shell I found on the beach, that it’s Hayward for AD.

Oh come on, AD is a free agent. Tell that shell you found it's a sign and trade for AD
I'm bitter.

If true, I'd be happy with it. I like Hayward and what he brings to the team, but he's injured too much. And for whatever reason, I guess he doesn't want to be in Boston anymore? This would give Boston a legit big and a solid bench scorer.

I’d rather have turner than Drummond....

Now watch it be Drummond...

This thread is not dead.  It can still be a sign and trade.  There just isn't any urgency now.

I think there's urgency inasmuch as the whole off-season is moving super fast and teams probably want to figure out where they stand after the trade dust settles before the free agency period begins.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Yes, not "today" urgency but still things need to settle pretty quickly, maybe a week or so urgency.

I'd be happy with Turner and something else coming back and if it shaves some money at the same time, all the better.

I feel like  I keep reliving the same/similar nightmare -- Celtics miss out on top FA; Celtics star signs with another team; Lakers sign elite FA; elite player gets himself traded to the Lakers... on and on.

Have to admit it felt good to get the Hayward and Kemba signings but C's (like most teams) always trying to hang onto to what they have, try to make up for roster losses, try to gebt better incrementally...  while elite players fall into the Lakers lap.
