I don’t see it.

Jerebko was a 36% 3PT shooter over 10 NBA seasons.

This guy is an 18% 3PT shooter over 3 NBL seasons.

Honestly no issue taking a flyer on this guy for end of bench (assuming they fill the rest of the bench out). Visited a couple of Aussie Forums and they say this guy is athletic and has physical tools to be NBA player. He can’t be worse than Poirier.

The "he can shoot narrative" is nonsense. Half of his makes in his entire career game in one game, where he hit 3 wide open perimeter shots. 6/34 over his NBL career.

He's also not athletic enough to play NBA like he does NBL. He gets left open on PnR after PnR because the defensive schemes in the NBL are often shaky at best, so his uncontested dunks make him look bouncier than he is.

If we want an Aussie big man for next to nothing we should go after Jonah Bolden. He was a decent rookie, averaging 5PPG and 4RPG in 15MPG, showing a somewhat promising 3 point shot and has actual athleticism. He also plays for our national team. Here's him being an NBA calibre player, rather than being an alright NBL player:
