I had heard Boston was one of the teams monitoring the availability of 6’10” Australian big man Will Magnay. Not sure they are the team he’s coming over for, but would fit the bill of “off the radar overseas player” from the last few seasons. Theis, Wanamaker, Poirier, etc.

— Keith Smith (@KeithSmithNBA) November 13, 2020

Magnay appeared in all 32 games as a freshman in 2016-17 for Tulsa and averaged 3.9 points and 3.0 rebounds per game, shooting 57.8-percent from the floor before going pro in Australia for the NBL, one of the world’s most competitive leagues.

I’m not excited.  Maybe he’s worthwhile on a two-way deal.

Lol at Australia being "one of the world's most competitive leagues".  It's maybe like 12th

That's still pretty good, there's a lot of leagues.

Jeesh, why? We should not be looking to the bloke who won MIP in the NBL to come in and play here. He sucked in college and his size is unimpressive

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Probably replacement for Poirier as a 3rd string center. The bar isn't very high.
They might nog believe that Fall is ready.

Why waste the roster spot?  There’s got to be somebody better than an NBL scrub out there.

I don’t know why we need to have a spot reserved for potato big men who can’t play basketball. Especially with 3 first round picks coming up

Frank The Tank at least had a passable jumper.

Aussie Scrub has made six 3PTs in his three year career, shooting 18% from deep.

Seriously.  If we’re giving out roster spots for charity, I’d gladly relocate to Boston to take one.

But, if it’s on a two-way, I don’t care.

Lots of talk that Boston doesn't want to draft 3 firsts. I'm just saying that this could be the thought process.
Instead of a replacement for Kanter or something.
