Trades are a blast and I love Jrue Holiday even more than Hayward. They’re two of my favorite players due to I guess I played Hayward’s way at a low level and Jrue did the things I couldn’t at a low level ( his awesome pressure d, stealing ball out of dude’s hands.( How did anyone ever do that?!!!) I just didn’t have the quickness or coordination for that.
But even if Jrue is better now as is , Hayward it s a much better fit to me and the fit has already been proven. We have no idea how it will work out. I still am hoping for a surprise long term Hayward signing.

Not sure how we get him salary wise without giving up Kemba/Hayward/Smart. Giving up our 3 first rounders + one of those guys for Jrue is an overpay

Hayward + Langford to Indiana

Oladipo + picks to New Orleans

Jrue + Turner to Boston

works in the trade machine

Yeah I know you said without giving up Hayward but let's be real all these rumors suggest that he's gone anyway if we don't trade him.

Team takes back too much salary here.

Include Poirier and Edwards with Dipo to New Orleans
Include Romeo with Hayward to Indiana
Jrue and Turner then to Boston.

No salary change to any team.

Jrue/Waters
Smart/
Brown/
Tatum/GrantW
Turner/Theis/Timelord

Team needs the picks and MLE to polish out roster.
backup PG - Hampton, Maledon, Lewis
Backup wing - Bane, Scrubb, Woodard, Ramsey
Backup PF - Perry, Tillie, McDaniels
and a risk/reward wing - Joe, Dotson, Quickley, Bolmaro

A team with a top 7 of
Tatum
Brown
Jrue
Smart
Turner
Theis
GrantW

Needs a bit of work, so ideally the picks are high floor, immediately ready to play and can get a good player via MLE.
'21 Historical Draft
PG: Kyle Lowry / Mookie Blaylock / Mark Jackson
SG: Reggie Miller / Jeff Hornacek / Nick Anderson
SF: George Gervin / George McGinnis / Kyle Korver
PF: Connie Hawkins / Serge Ibaka / Josh Smith
C: Clint Capela / Bill Laimbeer / Jusuf Nurkic

This is a small point but I don't think Romeo Langford will be included in any trade.

DA and BS seem to like him so he is valued in Boston and to an outside team his injuries would probably make him an negative asset.

I agree. Too many here use him as a throw in.  Bad idea.  He will be part of the rotation this season.

combine the atlanta wanting Hayward rumor with the celtics wanting turner and Jrue rumors.

Atlanta in - Hayward, #26, #30
out: Dedmon and #6
Atlanta trades for Hayward and saves capspace to be able to sign another high end free agent(FVV)
Trae
FVV
Hayward
Collins
Capela

Pelicans in - Kemba, Dedmon
out - Jrue, Reddick
Pelicans get a star pg who is locked up for a few more years and is an offensive upgrade for them. Should pair very well with Ingram and Zion
Kemba
Ball
Ingram
Zion
Hayes

Indiana in - #14, Timelord, and TPE
out Turner
Indiana sheds salary, adds a lotto pick and a young defensive center with potential
Brogdon
Dipo
Warren
Sabonis
Timelord

Boston in- Jrue, Turner, Reddick #6 (Hayes or Halliburton)
out, Kemba, Hayward, Timelord, #14, #26, #30

Team drops enough salary to use MLE on a PF, bring back Green, he's cheap depth.

Smart/Hayes/Waters
Jrue/Reddick/Edwards
Brown/Romeo/Green
Tatum/GrantW/MLE
Turner/Theis/Poirier

I saw a proposed trade last night on Boston Sports Tonight. Hayward and the 3 first round picks for Holiday. I don’t know if I have ever seen a more lopsided trade proposal. The only way Danny makes that trade, is if he’s trying to get rid of the notion that he only wants to win trades because he would be getting fleeced here.

I do like the fact that we’re hearing about this rumor because that means a silly proposal like this would never happen. When it comes to Danny, it’s the players that aren’t rumored to Boston that he ends up trading for. I don’t mind Danny overpaying for some players, but Holiday is certainly not one of them.

If Hayward is traded I expect starting line up to be something like : Kemba, Holiday, Brown, Tatum, Theis.  The bench rotation (by minutes played) to be: Smart, G. Williams, Langford, and R Williams.

Romeo will probably get 15-20 minute a game.

Grant played 15.6 last year in 60+ games, Semi played 14.6 in a similar number of games and Romeo played 11 in 27 games.  If Hayward is traded who is picking up his 33+ minutes a game?

There's rumors that the C's could pursue a 3-team trade that gets them both Holiday and Turner. Hayward, picks, Ojeyele, and Kemba or Smart (likely Kemba) would be heading out in the package.

I do think it's a complicated idea, but it's also not something I look at and immediately dismiss.

I'm trying to think, so Hayward, Ojeyele, 1-2 future pick to IND for Turner. Kemba + 1 future pick for Holiday. Only question after that would be, who is our PG?

If they are who they were last season you are absolutely correct, but that’s where the improvements have to come.

We don’t have the ammo anymore to sign big players or trade for huge talent upgrades. Player development is absolutely crucial and Grant and Romeo are gonna absolutely have to become legit rotation guys.
