I feel like Brad Stevens is always trying to sell me insurance.

What a boring, lifeless coach.

I think he is a heck of a coach.

...we had bad draw.  It is never easy to beat a Champion, and even harder when we underestimate their heart.  I rather be playing Milwaukee right now.

Celts org jumped the gun on extending Brad Stevens imo

They should have waited... why rush ?

With more talent than Raptors if he cant help propel the Celtics past the 2nd round

He should be fired

Been watching Celtics playoffs games since the 60's.

If you want to go home at 2-2? Knock yourself out.

1984? Your kidding right? Lakers win game one 115-109 in the freaking Garden? Game three Lakers destroy us 137 - 104...they're up 2-1....they have home court now? Celtics win in 7.

In 1974 Milwaukee and the Celtics are tied 2-2 in the finals. In the 7th game Kareem hit 26 pts, but Cowens got 28 and Hondo 16...Celtics win another title. Boston was on fire for that series. Johnny Most was on every radio everywhere....Tommy Heinsohn had the biggest lapels and sideburns in the world.

Are you kidding me two to two?

This thing hasn't even started yet. Three game series coming up.
Larry Bird ain't walking through that door.

Great post. I agree, it definitely isn't over, and the hot takes on this thread have been ridiculous (by people who barely posy on here, I might add). I just need to see some mental fortitude out there. We look like we're playing like zombies.

Yeah, don't get too high or too low but it's time to light a fire!!!!!!!!!! Brad needs to get fired up and show it on the court. The Celtics are getting knocked around out there and they aren't hitting back!!!!

You can call me a lot of things, but Brad Stevens needs to be fired. It's the reality. He just isn't the right coach for this team. He's like another Brett Brown- great on a rebuilding team but with all these star players he's had he just can't get it done. He's not screaming or lighting a fire under this team's bums. All these lack of timeout callings, terrible defense at the end of game 3, terrible substitutions, and just poor execution in Game 4....ugh.

He's done, in my eyes. Will be surprised if the Celtics win this series, but doubt it now. Should have been down 3-1.

I know it’s easy to forget, but Hayward being out is a big factor. The defense has been really good for the most part, so us not getting baskets says more about our stars than Brad. Tatum was bad last game, Brown was just as bad this one. He’s got no depth without Hayward to sit them.

A much better case can be made that we should be up 3-1 than down 3-1. I can see placing some blame on Brad for trying the Tacko stunt, but let’s be honest the mixup by Tatum/Theis/Brown was on the players.

I think the C’s have been playing too nonchalant. They deserve to get chewed out after this performance, so let’s see how they come out next game.

I mean, that's the thing - who on here really expects Brad to do this and hold his guys accountable? Because I for sure don't foresee that happening.

Traditionally, the winner of game 5 in a 2-2 series goes on to win the series. Monday's gonna be huge.

Yeah, game threads work better if you ignore about 75-80% of the posts, which are basically the same post, by the same people (who also appear to have extremely limited basketball acumen), ad nauseam. The rest of it is good though.

Raptors are high screening everything. Right up on the players

Instead of getting players to cut to the basket or having someone else bring up the ball with setting multiple screens for Walker.

Just the same deal everytime up the court.

This is on the coaching staff

Fred Vanvleet claiming the Celts are now f^#^#... looks like it.

This inability to push pass the "wall" is the same nightmare vs Cavs a few years ago.

The fact that Toronto's backcourt played the entire game, is a testament to how unagressive Kemba has been. Kemba needs to shoot and put pressure on the refs to call falls. Force Nurse to sit his guys for foul trouble.

BTW, Lowry is ridiculous with his constant flopping.
Lowry and FVV were in significant foul trouble G3 and got played anyway - Nurse will risk it

VanVleet had 2 fouls, while Lowry had 4. If Lowry is in foul trouble early, he'll stop taking so many charges, in fear of picking up another foul of his own.

I think he's a solid Xs and Os guy. Did a heckuva job navigating an undermanned team to G7 of the ECF in '18.

But can he get this team to the next level? I honestly don't know.

He's a good coach, but overrated by the masses. Not the Boy Wonder that some think he is.

Yeah the extension really surprised me.  Brad came directly from college coaching and is fine for molding a team of young players, but I don’t see him as a championship coach.   He would have benefitted from doing some assistant coaching first and learn from an older coach.
