Btw, with the Nuggets win today, Game 1 of Boston-Miami will be at 6:30 PM EST Tuesday

If the Clippers had won today, it would have been 8:30 that night

Yes, thanks for the heads up, TP.

That really sucks for any of us not on EST. Can barely get home from work in time to catch these games!

Yeah np!

Also just to add if people didn't know, Game 2 will be Thursday but time is TBD. Game 3 is Saturday at 8:30 PM EST (ESPN; Idk if ABC). After that nothing is set in stone. I think it'll depend on what happens in Tuesday's Game 7 and how the WCF schedule looks like.

Some Miami reporters were saying it's possible now that after Game 3, there may be 1 or even 2 instances of there being TWO full days off between games because they don't want BOS/MIA potentially winning in just 4 or 5 games and then not playing for over a week because the WCF is still going on

I guess Adam Silver and his band of zebras are making sure our series go 6 or 7 then if they can help it...

Only way this finishes in 5 or less is if the games are blown out and the refs could not help out one team or the other.

In other words, they want to make sure the Lakers get as much help as they can while Boston gets royally screwed.

I don't think that's the read. I'd rather 2 day breaks between games in the ECF than waiting around for a week. Feel as though that long a rest before Finals could actually do more harm than good to whoever advances from the East.

The more days off between games, means the more days Hayward has to recover.

I think around 3 or so yesterday, I went onto espn.com to check what time the Clippers-Nuggets game would be on later last night. I was shocked to learn the game had already started and was in the third quarter. At that point, the Clippers were ahead by 16. I figured, I’ll just finish the Pats game, because the NBA game is a blowout. Little did I realize, the Nuggets were just about on their way to blowing out the Clippers.

While I'm all for a good conspiracy theory, there's no way the NBA doesn't want a Lakers/Celtics final, right?  If they're rigging things, I would think that's what they're going for.

LAL/Celtics - classic rivalry + LeBron vs Boston, add in Boston's failed pursuit of AD and attempts to trade Tatum/Brown for him, Rondo facing off against his old team, feel good story of Hayward/Stevens trying to win a championship together since Butler.  The best (available) of past/present/future stars in LeBron/AD/Tatum.  This has everything the league would want.

LAL/Miami - LeBron's first chance to face the team he won 2 rings for, plus Riley won 3 rings with the Lakers.  Maybe not as good of a ratings draw as LAL/BOS, but a decent consolation prize.

LAC/Boston - you still get LA, but not the popular one.  You get Doc vs Boston, and can talk about Boston's attempts to trade for George and Kawhi, but the appeal just ain't the same.

LAC/MIA - this has to have the least appeal, while a lot of great players all around, in terms of popularity LeBron+AD >>>>> Kawhi+George, and I gotta think the NBA would rather hitch their wagon to 22 year old Tatum than 31 year old Butler.

DEN - no chance if the NBA is rigging things

Don't forget the championship count.  Regardless of how anyone feels about them including the Minneapolis championships in their count the national media will be all over it.

I love a good conspiracy theory. Good summary of the story lines.

I'm sure Jaylen Brown's groin is fine.

If not, tell him to put some horse liniment on it, as an associate once told me to do for my achilles at the time, lol.

Time to Suit up.....unless your arms or legs are broken and dangling from their sockets all hands ON DECK.

You too, GH...just put some horse liniment on it ;D

MIA (then LAL hopefully) has to be stopped.....ESPECIALLY LAL.
