I actually have a few more surefire MVPs left on my board with a bunch of fringe MVPs below them.
The way I see it as there are plenty of players who were MVPs or near MVP level players in the real NBA but will see a drop-off in value in this Historical League when they have to share the ball more with more talented teammates / not have a team operate solely around their abilities & limitations.

A larger drop off than the first 11 guys taken who are more robust and dependable across different situations.

Yup.

I agree, but the same thing holds for some players picked ahead of Pierce (eg. Wade, Kobe, although to a lesser extent). I just don't think there's a significant gap between them.
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Chris Paul had an amazing season in 2008.

Nobody had an answer for him.
Should've been MVP over Kobe.
Nah. KG deserved the MVP that year.
I think it's pretty even. Both were better than Kobe that year.

Interesting thing is that there are no trades yet. Hopefully we get some saucy trades to spice it up.

I'm interested to see the KG and Duncan teams have them listed as C in their sigs this early on.  I had them listed as PFs in my spreadsheet.  Changes how I view the depth of talent at certain positions.

Pretty on par with where the NBA has trended lately.  I wonder if we'll see more bigger SFs from earlier in the decade being used as PFs in this game too.

That's just a starting point. That may change depending on who I go for in the draft.

I knew that's where you were going. He was #11 on my list so good value there.

I had such a hard time placing T-Mac on my board, so I had him waaaay lower then he probably should have been. I think this is a good pick for the last one of the round.

Gotta love T-Mac. So much fun to watch.

He made difficult things look effortless.

Round 1 is now over. The Draftboard and Rosters are up to date in the OP.

Well done everyone. TPs all around.

Rockin never replied so at this point it's a no go.

Yeah, he's a bit of a binky.

Saw a ton of him.   Drafted when I was high school and really hit his prime when I was in college.    One of those eye test guys.   For where I was drafting, figured why not.
