Sorry guys, I'm just waiting on a response on a trade offer. If I don't get one in the next 5-10 min, I'll just pick.

I wish i had done this lol
If no one minds, and you really want a team, I can give you a team and the 17th pick today. Going to mean doing some work to the Draftboard but I don't mind.
No problem whatsoever by me.

Your pick isn't due until 11:15. It's all good.

I certainly don't oppose. More the merrier really - especially in a time where people definitely need the distraction

Yeah absolutely. The more the better. Join up!

Shaq is going to be unstoppable in this if teams can't clog the lanes with multiple big men against him.

Shaq is gonna feast.

Agreed, but I think teams who can spam the high pick and roll can abuse him on the perimeter (yes his team can play the drop zone, but that's not going to do much against a modern 5-out offence that some teams might be able to build in this format). I salivate at the prospect of him fouling out entire front lines though (and his passing will help spot up shooters!).

Yeah, in this format the two most physically imposing players I think are Shaq and LeBron. Add their skill level and they are deadly.

Yep. We should have had a rule, a la Bill Simmons where you either can't draft Shaq or if you do, you give up your 4th round pick or something.

He's just too unstoppable. And whoever gets him is essentially booking himself to the Finals.

Yeah, he was the only other player I considered with the first pick, besides LeBron.

Agreed on Shaq being an absolute monster in this format.   Early 2000s Shaq really was something else.

Thank god he can't shoot free throws! Pretty much his only weakness (and three point shooting, but when you're 7'1" and 300+ lbs who cares about threes)

I have seen, so many times in these drafts, GMs make great 1st and 2nd round picks only to have the great beginning ruined by bad trades and reaches in the 3rd-6th rounds.

I have always felt that these games are won and lost by how well you draft the surrounding starters and your 6th man after grabbing your first two players.

Okay, ladies and gentlemen! In games like this, you need a guy willing to sacrifice his own game for others to succeed. You need an indomitable leader who can keep your volatile group of all-stars together. You need a winner. That's why with the 4th pick of the first round, the Denver Nuggets select...
