His floor is where he is now:  a consensus top-15 player who will be in All-NBA discussions every season.

His ceiling?  A top-three Celtic of all-time with multiple rings.

He’s a top 5 player in the NBA right now and is leading the league in scoring.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Three games in doesn’t mean a lot.

We’ll see where things shake out with Top-5.  Kawhi, Lebron and Durant all missed big chunks of last season, and Luka, Giannis and Jokic are there, too.  So, that’s seven “top five” players, with other guys like Moranis knocking on the door.

Tatum is the #1 ranked player in my fantasy basketball league and therefore he is the best player in the league.

Ceiling: Best basketball player in the world in the 2020s/early 2030s  (i.e., to this era what LeBron was to the 2010s/late 2000s; Kobe/Shaq in the early/mid 2000s; MJ in the 1990s/late 1980s; Bird/Magic in the mid/early 1980s).

Floor: Perennial top ten NBA player in the next decade.

Ceiling....Durant on offense and Leonard on defense.
Floor....Pierce on offense and George on defense.

Another good way of putting it.

I find that Celtics fans had this loss to the Bulls coming.
A lot of cockiness all around about Tatum becoming MVP and Tatum/Brown being the best duo in the world.
Turns out they lost to a Vucevic-led-team.

Even the best teams lost 20 times a year ...

Tatum and Brown are becoming one of the best duos in the world and Tatum is an MVP candidate.
