Langford looks like a pro on offence, the moves he has are really advanced for a guard/wing combo.

Is is so smooth...

Best game of the season for my 4000 post.
GO Celtics!!
We want this effort every game!

TP to APC for post #4000 directly coinciding with absolute thrashing of dreaded fakers!

Amazingly consistent play right throughout the game. Quarter scores of 33, 36, 35 & 35 is just poetry. Can't wait to actually watch it when I get home from work.

Did Lebron shake hands?

Nope.  Probably still salty from this:

That was awesome!

LOL The taunting call just brought more attention to the facial. TP for the gif.

It did!  just more time talking about that poster dunk!

Brad took this game quite seriously by cutting the rotation to eight guys. Could this show us that another bench scorer is our greatesr need?

Big props to Kanter tonight. Totally outplayed AD, Dwight, and Javale out there. So much for the Lakers dominant size being a problem for us.

Romeo is one slick cat

Very good at those shots off the backboard, floaters etc

Reminds me of one of those really good old school slashers attacking/slithering to the basket

Dribbles the ball super low to the ground. Not easy to swipe away

Does Lebron have anymore fight in him?

Zero attack to the basket(beast mode)

AD also looked pretty normal tonight

Lebron's old. And AD always nursing some injury

Have a feeling he leaves LA in offseason. Imagine the reaction if he does?!

A healthy Robert Williams

And why not give Jamal Crawford a 10 day?

Celtics win games one of two ways - either red-hot streaky shooting or they just out-work, out-hustle the other team. So, as we have seen many times, if we are not shooting well, we have no inside game to turn to and we have a good defense, but it requires lots of energy to be effective. no shooting and little effort = Loss. You get one or the other, I'd say 60% chance to win. Of course, those nights when we are playing with high energy and intense effort and shooting it well, we become a top 3 team in the league.

Tonite vs Lakers, we are playing with energy and grit and shooting a decent %, though not off the charts. Lakers out-shooting us, but effort is getting it done so far - Can we maintain this energy ?
Are you watching this game? Boston's inside game has been excellent. Kanter 18/8

Yep, I'm watching. Are you ? typical comment - Kanter has scored off offensive rebounds and in-close slip passes for little layups. That is not a post player making an offensive move and shot over a defender.
You can't be watching this game. Celtics are killing the Lakers on the boards, have more offensive rebounds and lead the Lakers in points in the paint. Boston's inside game has been outstanding.
His definition of an inside game are Duncan-esque post ups that have bigs pounding the ball under the basket every possession.
Which would be an ok strategy ... if we had a talent like Duncan
I'd rather have Garnett scaling up with the Jays, Kemba and Hayward with excellent outside shooting and GOAT level big man passing
I'd settle for any all-time 7 footer to be honest.

My definition of an inside game is an actual inside game. I am all for offensive rebounding, great  job Kanter. My original point, which was missed due to a lack of understanding of basketball, was that if the perimeter shots are clanging, as we sometimes see on those nightmare shooting games from Tatum and Brown, the Celtics do not have another offensive option.

Obviously, in today's game, we are not going to see a player like Kevin McHale receive an entry pass and make a two-step move to score. But there are still elements of inside post scoring within the offense that some teams' still enjoy that gives them an additional offensive option.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Agreed...great hands, soft around the rim...let's hope we have a top #2 in the making

Jamal Crawford was cooked several years ago, so I doubt he's an NBA player anymore.

so far it is clear romeo can go to the basket and score. he also has shown good defense in a handful of games.

the question for him is his outside and 3 point shooting. if he can shoot from 3 point range he will be a very good nba player. let's wait and see.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
