The lineup with our five best players has seen a total of 5 minutes of court time this season, and we are 35-15. If that isn't an argument for patience, I don't know what is.
A lot of people love fireworks & the immediate gratification following a trade. Staying pat is too boring.
Right, I mean look at the "action" this year. The biggest blockbuster involves two guys (Wiggins and Russell) who are the ultimate empty calorie players, and who'd immediately make us worse given anything close to the roles they'd demand.
And then the other big targets around the league include a guy we happily let go for nothing (Marcus Morris), a marshmallow-soft Euro shooting big who's a rental at best (Bertans), and some marginal vets who'd barely move the needle (Crowder, Iggy, Waiters, Thompson, etc...)
Meanwhile we are managing some injury issues but looking at a playoff run with healthy Walker/Smart/Brown/Tatum/Hayward to close out games, all of whom are better players than anyone who's been traded, or will be traded, today.
I don't get it.
