I don't know if you can extend him right now, but at the MLE (so ~9-10M a year), I'd re-sign Kanter to maybe another 2 year deal after this. I say that as I believe he has a player option for next year at 5M.

I would be good paying the best backup center in the league that.

Does anyone think Kanter could possibly opt into his player option next season if he's satisfied with the team? He's said in the past that one of the things he's always looked for in an organization is one that could act as a sort of surrogate family. So...that might be a possibility.Maybe.Probably not.
