Quickly losing faith in Brad Stevens.

I don’t understand why a team with this much offensive talent just shuts down like this.  It should be near-impossible to hold them under 100.  It just doesn’t seem like they make the game any easier for each other.

Brown, Tatum, and this recent (soft, ineffective) version of Hayward all are essentially worthless when their shots aren't falling.

None of them had their shots falling tonight, so we got crushed at the end of this game.

Offensively, at least, you're right, especially the former two. Hayward started the year as that secondary playmaker and facilitator, but he certainly hasn't been that recently.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

When I hear all the acclaim for Trey Young, with the sparkling year he's having, and with this being only his second year, I have to wonder are we sure Tatum and Brown are really as good as we think they are. We know Hayward will never be the same, we're not going to see Jazz Hayward again.

Last year we pointed the finger at Kyrie, this year who do we point the finger at?

Kyrie again!

lol

CBS just keeps playing Theis

Who has been terrible
He often, infuriatingly, sticks with what he thinks should be working, rather than actually adapting to what is working and what isn’t. Kanter always kills Horford, so naturally he doesn’t get 30 minutes.

Kanter hasn’t exactly been great tonight! Who do you want out there?
He had a great first half, and has played 6 minute since.

Just do not understand what Stevens is doing sometimes. Plus Kanter has been on a rebounding tear of late and we badly needed some offensive rebounding with our star forwards shooting so badly.

This one is tough to take - 15 point lead and our stars let us down. When Brown and Tatum have off shooting nights, they are not something like 7-20, they are more like 4-22. Just off the charts bad. Those two very inconsistent. I think Hayward is playing hurt - he is not moving well, plus shooting starts with the legs and feet, so that may explain his drop-off of late.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Wonder if that fourth quarter fade is at least partly to balme to this being thavelling on the seond night of a back to back.
They spent very little energy in last night's joke of an effort. Or the game before that.

They're revisiting 2018-2019 right now.

I mean, fairly certain Hayward was back to that level just at the beginning of the year. It's just since the hand injury he hasn't gained it back.

Blaming a back-to-back is a poor excuse IMO. These are pro basketball players, they should be capable of playing a basketball game on two consecutive days. Only Kemba might have an excuse coming off the flu but that's it.

I agree with others regarding playmaking. Would be nice to get a Gasol/Iguodala type. Just someone who initiates multiple pass possessions.

Blame Danny for not balancing the lineup... again

Team is so congested at the wing

Opposing teams attacking the Celts near the paint and having their way

That bum Simmons just doing whatever near the paint

It's not like DA had a lot if options this summer. We lost our two big players and got a big player back in kemba making us still pretty competitive.

We really only have three real wing players. Problem is we have two centers, one under sized defensive and the other meh on D but a good rebounder.

We need a Haynes type center, and get some vet scoring off the bench. The rooks just can't handle the load.

As much as I love Smart. I'd use him and pieces  in a trade now for a big and Bach scoring.

I agree with those who say this team is not ready.

Or a coach whop can recognize when we aren't moving the ball, and emphasizes that moving forward...

Let's also not forget that they're both traveling and playing the 5th game in 7th night, which is significant. Not considering the Embiid injury, this was a schedule loss from the get-go; we just helped them out by playing poorly yet again. It's also exacerbated due to our recent slump.
