this drives me crazy. practically every offensive set we have one of our wings (typically hayward or jaylen) standing in the corner for the entire possession, completely out of the play. makes zero sense. takes one of our best players out of the mix & makes life easier for the defense.

Horford obviously isn't going to play like this every game for the next couple of weeks, but I do think the rest of the production from the other guys is sustainable and that the Sixers aren't just going to go into the tank like they have in years past without Embiid.  Especially if they get a bit more from Harris.  This might actually be a time for Simmons to live up to his potential as the team is actually a pretty good fit for him overall with Horford, Scott, Richardson, and Harris.  Not perfectly tailor made for Simmons, but not bad either.  They have solid shooting and defending around Simmons and no one that likes to operate in the paint.  This is the time for Brown to show his mettle as a coach.  If he can't get the most out of Simmons over the next couple of weeks it may never happen for Brown in Philly.

But this was a bad loss for Boston all the way around.  You have to beat the Sixers without Embiid.  And I need more Kanter.  He is clearly a vastly superior player to Theis.  Kanter needs more minutes.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

END of the day

CBS system is compromised due to lack of Al Horford or KO at the top of the key

CBS perfect lineup would

C - a young Al Horford (point big)
PF- Robert Williams (rim protection/crash board/bail out)
SF- Brown
SG- Tatum
PG- Walker

off bench

C- KO
PF- Chris Boucher type
SF- Hayward
SG- Smart
PG- Louis Williams

one can only dream I guess

TO your point about Lou Williams, Jamal Crawford is a free agent. I'm unsure why he's still not signed. He was a microwave off the bench last I knew. Could be a very good pickup for some bench scoring.

I would be good for this

Max contract players like Gordon Hayward should not be having a performance like this tonight.

Quickly ship him out when you get the chance!

We can't win if guys like Gordon and Brown ( who has been fantastic this year) don't show up to play.  I know our guys are tired though.   However one bright spot is we can out to  play in the 1st.

We seem to have some offensive woes as well as lack of bigmanitis.

When you see certain players smiling after a crap effort like this, you get the feeling that it matters a lot more to us than to them.
If I performed like this on my job, I would be fired.  This team has no heart.
