Several executives believe the Indiana Pacers (18-9) will eventually look to move Myles Turner, who isn't generally considered a great fit long-term with Domantas Sabonis.

I really like Turner but I'd prefer Baby Arvydas if I had a choice.

Turner would be great! But count me out if it means trading one of our top 5. No interest in giving one of those guys to an Indiana team we will be competing with in the east for the next few seasons.

I’d try to make something work to get him. Would solve some issues. Inside game weak but otherwise a great fit.

Both Williams, Romeo, Memphis and Bucks pick?  I'd do this, but doubt it would be of interest to Pacers.

Turner and Lamb works for Hayward.

Not sure I'd do it but there is probably no better landing spot for Hayward if they plan on moving him than going back to Indy. Also not sure if Kemba would want Lamb back on the team since they have been tied together for their whole careers but tat being said, we could probably use a bit more reliable bench shooting.

Overall though I think I'd pass and just keep rolling with Hayward.

Don't really think Turner is that good. Too slow to guard the perimeter, too thin to go up against Embiid. I also think that  he believes that he is a better 3 point shooter than he is and also takes too many mid rangers. Some things in his favor would be that he is durable, and might have more to show if he got to play with a more classic 4 than Sabonis.

How does trading Hayward for an inferior player help our cause? The only possible way Hayward is traded is if Ainge believes he won't be back next season. And I think hell will freeze over twice before Ainge trades Smart.

I would not trade any of our top 5, but if we can get Turner for some combination of RW, Langford, Edwards, Kanter/Theis, picks, I would do it.

If they are moving him , it's to save money since they don't need him with Sabonis playing extremely well. The Pacers could get some good prospects on cost controlled deals, and some valuable draft picks. I can't see other teams offering a better set of assets for Turner.

The question for Ainge would be , do you use the Memphis pick to trade for Turner? That pick could potentially land a star prospect.

Was it me or was Myles Turner not much of a factor in the game last week vs. the Celtics?

Sabonis, Brogdon and the Holiday brothers all made significant impacts in that game. Turner didn't and MacMillen kept switching him in and out of the lineup.

wanted Turner during that draft and for his first couple of seasons.  bloom's off the rose now.  he hasn't progressed as much as I would have hoped and I certainly wouldn't give up a lot to get him.

Would be a great fit with the Celtics top 5 players but can not get him without giving up one of the top 5 players.   


Not worth it when I see what Embiid has done vs. the Pacers the past two seasons.   


If the Celtics are going to pay such a price to "improve" the playoff team, the players they get better have had some impact on either Philly or the Bucks.

I offer that the "issue" with this year's team is depth.

Thus, Hayward for Turner and whomever doesn't solve the fact that our bench doesn't match well with most of the top tier team's benches.

I don't think our "three bigs" limits would be an issue if we had a "Lou Williams" guy coming off the bench and hitting a couple of baskets.

Celtics don't have that now...they don't even have anything close to that.

Watched Mavs beat the Bucks last night. Those teams have ten player rotations.

Turner is a nice player but I wouldn't give up Smart, Jaylen, or Tatum to get him; not sure how the Celts could put together a package for him without one of those.

I wonder if something like Kanter, Langford, G. Williams, Poirier, and Boston's 1st for Turner would work for the Pacers.  C's could throw in 3 million cash to help with cuts the Pacers would need to make.

Gets the Pacers a decent center for this year, 2 rookies (one from Indiana), and a later 1st in the draft.  They could just cut Poirier and have some other guys they don't really need to cut as well. 

Seems like a trade that makes sense in theory for both teams.  Not sure what Turner's ultimate value is i.e. is essentially 3 mid to late 1st's plus a guy like Kanter enough value.
