To be honest I'd rather tank this game if it gives us a better chance at winning tomorrow.

We scored plenty to win - not enough defense.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

A lot of the Celtics played poorly. But man, Brad is just awful with in game lineups. Just awful. A 10 point lead entering the fourth and he puts our worst possible lineup on the floor, doesn't call any timeouts when they are getting destroyed, and suddenly we're playing from behind and Pacers have all the momentum. Wannamaker played more than Kemba in the 4th I think. Just awful.

Walker has played 35 minutes. He entered the game at the 7th minute of the 4th. If he was there from the 10th minute he'd have approached 38 mins on the first day of back to back. Doesnt help that guys are out and guys are in foul trouble.

Load management is more important than a single win in the regular season.
but not as important as good team D and people hitting open shots.  that was more important to getting a win.

Where the heck did I say that good Team D and hitting shots are not important?! Seriously people!
not giving you grief.  just making an observation

What an infuriating loss. It was theirs. That lineup to start the 4th was INSANE. Maybe you can get away with that if Tatum was having a good game but he was clearly struggling. Then he turned the ball over on 3 of 4 possessions. How do you not call a timeout there? Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!

lol load management for healthy guys in their 20s. Tatum was the only player who played more than 35 minutes.

Seems he has needed a lot of those this year and can Hayward catch a break once in a hundred years - everyone of his injuries has been some freak play.

  • GOT IT!!!
The interior defense sucked. That's awesome considering who they play next.

I missed it, what happened to Hayward?

When's the last time we beat a good team on the 2nd night of a back to back?

Does Stevens get challenged on his game management by the Boston press ?

He took a hard shot to the nose. I wouldn't be surprised if his nose is broken. I would not expect him to miss any games though.

Jaylen Brown needs to take a more aggressive hand in the Celtic offense. His shooting percentage is too good to be overlooked. He see's the floor well, it's time.

Some defensive mistakes killed this game.

Agreed, but Tatum should not have the most shot attempts on a nightly basis like he usually has been.

Rough game...

No Marcus Smart
Jaylen Brown fouled out
Gordon Hayward left early with a possible broken nose
Jayson Tatum ice cold
