Tough beat is right.

Up 10 to start the 4th and lose ?????? This one stung.

2 starters fouled out and one had his nose broken...tough

and yet somehow people are still blaming the loss on Brad Stevens.

He did what he could with the guys that were still available to play.

Celtics need a better PF/C than Theis and Kanter

Sabonis and Turner are world class in comparison

Too bad Timelord is out, because he would have made the Pacers think twice before driving in

Danny needs to understand that if you want to play small ball without a legit PF and Walker (small).  You need a legit big to prevent situations like tonight.

theis has looked good this season. he fits well with the other starters.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Despite having played with the greatest front line in the history of basketball, Danny Ainge lives in an imaginary world where small, athletic, finesse teams win all the titles and no one over 6-8 is allowed to play.

No broken nose for Hayward:

Not broken - get back in the game!

And the only way to find out for sure was to get him out of the game. They have a back to back to play and a long season to go. Why risk it? Its idiotic.

Considering that we had no Smart and we lost Hayward down the stretch and still almost pulled it off, I'd say we did ok.

Tomorrow night with no Smart or Hayward would be tough though. We could see the Sixers luck out and break our home undefeated streak.

Brad Stevens did not do OK.

Could you enlighten me what was he supposed to do? Play Kemba 40 mins? Coz I'd rather lose this game and be fresh tomorrow than to win this game and dead tired for tomorrow's. A win vs Sixers> a win vs Pacers.

10 point lead to start the 4th...and 3 straight turnovers by Tatum...Nonchalant, no killer instinct...WEAK.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Well you got both - we will be tired and we lost the game as a bonus .............and Philly's size is going to eat us alive for the second time this season. What was it exactly that Horford wanted that Celts were not willing to give in a new contract - extra year or more money ? Never saw Horford as the ring-chasing type - guess I was wrong.

Could still be concussion like symptoms or something. Don't think it's that simple.

put Hayward in to start the 4th instead of Tatum with 4 deep bench guys when Tatum was already having a rough night. I called it before the 4th that CBS shouldn't but should put Tatum and Hayward out there to start the 4th. Hayward went out early enough in the 3rd, he should have been out there. Not shocking that lineup to start the 4th essential lost the game by giving momentum to Pacers as we went from a 10t lead to 2pts in about 2 minutes! The same setting screwed us earlier in the game too. I don't mind him playing the rookies but you don't have to force them, especially together! I also would have sent Langford out there, no way he could be worse than what Carsen has been most of these games, his profile suggests he could be better (even if he ultimately isn't). If he's healthy enough to be available, throw him into the fire like you did Grant and Carsen.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Hayward gets injured, doesn't come back.

Celtic fans: Brad is dumb for not putting Hayward on the court in the 4th.
