I hope they play "New Kid in Town" over the highlights at his tribute.
"The joy of the balling under the rims."

He was a complete failure here.  I wouldn’t even acknowledge him and certainly no tribute. He has done nothing to deserve it.  You don’t have to boo, just don’t say anything and beat the heck out of his new team and walk away.

The diehard inside me always says boo as hard as you can but the best way to handle it is to ignore him.... Booing helps his ego, justifies his actions.
The tribute video is PR... Don't like it either but it is good for the organisation

Was Rondo ever given a tribute video? I don't remember. If not, doesn't he deserve one before Kyrie?

LOL

C'mon now keep it CLASSY BOS.

Can I ask you?

How do you post a moving image into a post, like you did there with Willy Wonka?

Yup, you can see the clips of him seeing it played in a Mavericks uniform. Standing ovation at the Garden with Ainge/Brad clapping too.

I wouldn't do one. What are you going to put in it, some regular season games or clips from the Pacers playoff series? Rondo had the title run and a bunch of huge playoff moments even if it ended pretty sour for both sides.

It doesn't matter, he's not going to play imo. He has a very real shoulder injury and I would be shocked if he played in Boston.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

You just treat it just like you would a regular picture (the first link on the left - Mona Lisa looking thing underneath the 'B' for bold. Pictures and gifs are treated the same; videos are not (anymore). Just right click on the gif and then click 'save image address' and paste it into here.

They probably will, they do it for just about everyone that play any significant minutes for us.

Does that mean we see video tributes for Marcus Morris, Al Horford and Terry Rozier too?

Wait, was Morris given one when he came to town?

This is stupid.

These videos should be reserved for players who have contributed to championships or otherwise spent a significant portion of their career here. I didn't think Thomas deserved a video and I don't think Kyrie does either.

I don't see any good coming from this.

Excuse my french, but this is bs. Kyrie quitted on the C's. Why exactly do we honor him?

It's not like the Ray Allen situation either. Kyrie achieved nothing here. He didn't even play in the playoffs during his first season and he killed our chemistry during his second season.

We sacrificed a Nets pick for Kyrie. We could have traded up for Luka with that pick (we would have had #8, the Mavs traded up from #5). Ugh, the more I think about that trade, the less I like it. We should never have traded for Kyrie.

You wonder if this is a sales pitch to future free agents. "See how Kyrie treated us? But we still honored him. We are for our players in Boston."
