Can't we just retire Greg Kite's number that night instead?

Wait, is this actually going to happen?

I know Ainge mentioned in an interview that he didn't agree with the idea of Celtics fans booing Kyrie (lol), but was there actually a mention of a video tribute??  :o

I was ticked off seeing ESPN has monopolized the broadcast of that game but now that I know they're doing a video tribute, I'm feeling kind of glad I won't see that.  I still bummed I won't see the C's drill Kyrie and show him how a real TEAM plays together

Not 100% sure if one will actually happen. Ainge isn't opposed to it but he said it wasn't his call. Seems like almost ex-player gets one these days. But I guess the Celtics may ultimately think its a bad idea---which I think it is.

What would be on said highlight video exactly?
Him cheering the run when he was injured?
Or the glorious first round playoff victory he engineered??
Maybe all those air balls against Milwaukee!!!
Oh the memories!! 😄😄

I am as bummed out as the next guy / gal that things didn't work out in BOS for Kyrie but I still hope we can keep his reunion classy...

He is still well-liked around the league with the players.

A steady stream of boos and we can then count on one hand the number of stars that will come to BOS in the next few years.

Boston should keep it classy ... give him a video tribute and then proceed to beat his team.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

Oh, he will absolutely be booed and it won't be pretty. Hopefully it doesn't really have a detrimental effect on signing future players.
