Disappointed in Jaylen Brown

Like a pilon with less than 5 min in the 4th. Doesnt want any part of scoring the ball

Nobody from the Celts able to drive and just dunk the ball when a bucket was needed =t

And some here liked to compare him to Kawhi....now that is laughable.

I got to admit his Defense is something to behold but man his offense and shooting downright putrid.

I disagree. Just because he didn't have the ball to create his own offense in crunch time+was cold to start the game doesn't mean that his offense is putrid. He was severely underutilised this game and I fully expect him to consistently have good games once Brad realises that he's wasting Jaylen's talent in such an off ball role.
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Lose to Clips in OT is not a bad thing..we wasnt blown out or anything..didnt have Hayward also..could be 13-1 easily so im happy so far..just need a vet scorer off the bench..Williams, Grant, Edwards and Semi not gotta cut it
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

BS. Should've never got to this point. Incompetent officiating and poor in-game management blew it. Just unbelievable. Brad deserves to lose some money ripping the refs tonight, but of course we know Babyface Brad won't be sticking up for his players like that.

he got a tech in overtime. Arguably the c's would have been better off if he stood up for his players less.

Naw, his whole nice guy routine just doesn't work. He'd get more respect and we'd get ripped off like this less if he did more to work the refs. That's just human nature.

Or he'd get a worse whistle because nobody likes getting called out on national TV. Or it has no effect at all.

If that's the case then virtually every other team would be getting a worse whistle than us, which I think we all know isn't happening.

Brad simply has to work the refs better. That's just how the NBA coaching game goes. Even if it comes in post-game pressers, he should be ripping the refs for their blatant poor calls.

so when Doc was here and he was constantly working the refs and getting techs, youre saying we didnt get screwed as much?

because I remember just as much complaining about the officials back then as we have now, if not more.

.....maybe, just maybe it doesnt make a difference

Didnt he win a championship snd get close to a second? That is a difference.

The idea that Stevens doesn't work the refs is pretty ridiculous. They don't show it a bunch on TV but at games you see him constantly talking and pointing stuff out to refs all game long.

People are just angry that he isn't this gregarious, loud, shouting, bullying type of coach. That's not his style. But to think because on TV you don't see him going nuts on refs that he doesn't work them is just wrong.

It's no coincidence that the same people who think Brad doesn't work refs also think he is some weak minded guy that lets players walk all over him simply because he doesn't have the same way to handle people as they would like.

Why was MS go to guy in the clutch last night? What did the coach do about it?

Could’ve had that one. The blown calls hurt (the ones that even ESPN commentators disagreed with, which I thought were fairly obvious wrong calls) and also CBS’ tech at the end.

Just adding one more thing:

That had a playoff atmosphere and Kemba choked hard. That said, I hope he gets all his choking done now instead of in the actual playoffs as opposed to the other way around (like the guy who used to wear Kanter’s jersey).

lol what does that have to do with anything related to how the refs treat the celtics?

are you saying we won a title because Doc knows how to work the refs?  because thatll be news to everybody.  Maybe Paul Pierce should hand over his Finals MVP trophy, or KG his DPOY trophy

Whats the number 1 complaint about game 7 against the Lakers in 2010 by Celtics fans?  The officials screwed us.

So again, if Doc works the refs, yells and screams and gets T'd up......and theres STILL games we get jobbed in. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?

Someone with lots of spare time and a bit of funding should make an academic paper based on this ;D

lol

anybody remember the ref Bill Kennedy???  As soon as we'd find out he was reffing our game in the playoffs we'd all just chalk it up as a loss because of how much he hated Doc

This team is missing a veteran presence like Al Horford. I'm concerned they won't last long in the playoffs due to being a young squad with no experienced vets.

I don't think its a joke job. I do think Walker can be defended by taller, quick players. This is why we need Hayward to stir the offense so Walker can get his looks off him.
