I suggest the biggest story line from the shorthanded Hawks game was Grant Williams. He was playing naturally and within the flow of the game. During play, he doesn't stick out that much, he's usually correctly placed on defense and isn't showing much on offense yet as he is usually on the court with two of the better shooters in the league.
He is way too small to hang around underneath. His arms are too short. He still is struggling from three, but, beyond those mammoth liabilities? Grant is ttarting to look aok. He is watching the game a little too much, but, this gets overridden by his instincts.
In the last four Celtic's games he has gotten more minutes due to injuries.
Averages for the 4 games:
Minutes 20.4
Points 6.75
FG% 54.5% (12/22)
3 PTS 0 for 4
FT 60% (3/5)
Rebs 5.2
Ast 1.5
TO .75 pg (3)
Stls 1 pg (4)
Blocks 1 pg (4)
What stands out are the blocks and steals. He knows his opponent's and their tendencies and he hangs around with well known pick pocket Marcus Smart, learning from the master.
