I saw the play. He played through it the rest of the game.

If I didn't know better, I would think that the coaching staff is looking for reasons to not play guys, instead of load management.

celtics must have decided to go for a double-secret tank mode.  ;)
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Loving what Theis is bringing to the table, but Time Lord and Kanter should be able to handle the bulk of the minutes against a team we should beat.

Yeah, this is a way sneakier way to get guys a night off here and there. Bravo Brad!  :P

Well, Theis is an injury prone guy.  Now that Kanter is back, they can spread the center minutes among Timelord, Kanter, Grant, and Poirier.  Especially against weaker opponents, no reason not to let Theis give the finger a chance to heal.

My thinking too. And give the other centers some minutes.

Are you really advocating that Theis give the finger???...... we are talking about a finger, not a hand injury a finger (credit to Allen Iverson)

Pretty much any excuse will do to get him minutes, but this one seems legitimate as Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.

Maybe, but its not exactly unheard of for guys to finish a game with an injury only to sit out the next game. A guy can play through something only for the pain to come when  the adrenaline of a game wears off. We saw it with Kanter when he played out the Phili game only to sit out since then with the knee.

Celtics are getting punked a little,to much ...i agree with Smart

How about lettng our opponents run into Tacko s enormous elbows
a few times.  I say let Tacko puts the  atomic elbow drops on somebodies head ...

Bird didn't have many "load management" days either. At least not in his mid 20s. Bird missed like 20 games in his first 8 or 9 seasons before he had the bone spur surgery. Michael Jordan played all 82 games multiple times. Today's players are not cut from their cloth.

Dropping 25 in 25 minutes against the bottom-feeder teams and then sitting the last quarter was their load management!
