What was Marcus doing taking all those 3s in first half ?? He redeemed himself in 2nd half I guess.

If Romeo is somehow better than Edwards and G Williams, then this draft class is going to be insane.

Is Romeo going to play at all this season or keep the bench warm? If he's not going to play, then the decision to draft him at 14 is a head scratcher.  Especially when there were other guys available, that the Celts could be playing right now.

Totally agree that there were better picks at #14.
But maybe the Celts were afraid they would lose Jaylen Brown.

Now that Brown is locked up long term, there's just no way Romeo is going to get playing time.

If he is good enough he'll get a bunch of Semi's minutes at least.

Very unlikely as Semi is playing the big man role.

Romeo is a real SG.

Is it your experience that Brad never plays unconventional lineups or goes small...?

Tacko averaging 48 points and 36 rebounds per 36 minutes lol
and 18 fouls.  ;D

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

lol we're not trading Romeo. You don't bail on a guy you draft high because he isn't ready to make an immediate impact, especially when you draft him knowing that already. The only way they're trading him is for a real asset, not a journeyman on a short deal and a big salary.

How do I officially know Celtics basketball season is back? When all of us in this thread are in unison saying these refs suck and are biased against the Celtics. I missed you all!  ;D

wondered where you was...LOL

I'll summarize this game in 2 sentences. Grant Williams turned the game around. Kemba closed it.

Team also got key contributions from Jaylen. Also, was nice to see Robert Williams continue to play well and 1st time we've seen Carsen Edwards play really well.

Also, I know Marcus Smart sometimes gets overlooked but he really plays his ass off. On opening night in Philly, he got hit right in the windpipe by one of the Philly players and a foul wasn't even called.

Chemistry is Great on this team
Nobody has to worry what mood Kyrie is in
Young guys can play-Danny killed this draft
Timelord's block on Randle got me out of my seat
Kemba is Amazing
Tatum will be fine
Brown is a Monster Athlete
Hayward needs to keep dishing, he's awesome at this
Sky's the Limit for this group

Also, felt bad for Dennis Smith Jr....the way those butthead NY fans are.

Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Romeo has a career trajectory similar to Oldaipo. That’s sort of me being lazy because they both played at Indiana, but I see the similarities.

Celts already have too many small players in the rotation.

Against Toronto, Brad went with 1 PG and 4 wings late in the 4th.

There's just not enough for Romeo.

If the Celts didn't have Carsen then I agree Romeo would get to play.
But right now Carsen is better and NBA ready.

Missed it live...going to watch it this morning but just looking at the box score looks like JT had another poor shooting game and Hayward struggled to get into the game again?
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Tatum missed a lot of open threes. They were ones that rattled around. He was matched with Morris a lot, a savvy veteran player who made him work on defense and bodied him up on offense. I thought he did alright.

Hayward did struggle a bit, but he made some really heady decisions with ball.

Watch for Grant Williams. The rookie was awesome.

TP for the update...not something you can discern from the box score. Tatum I think will come good, but I'm really following Hayward's progress this season, I think he's going to be key to this team with Al gone.

seemed to me or a least i kept thinking NY has a nice bunch of players young guys I was impressed with their individual talent.

Maybe its me but they seem poorly coached .   And even worse led , or lack of leadership .

IMO that team would be alot better with CBS .
