Quote
“Grant’s skill and passing is really good for us. We can stretch guys out that way,” Brad Stevens says of Grant Williams. “And I thought he did things defensively above the rim today that were really impressive.”

I have to admit the Jaylen Brown of this season is much improved.

Ainge overpaid for Jaylen, but Jaylen is justifying the overpay.

The last impression all of us have of Jaylen is mostly based off last year. But Ainge/Brad see these guys throughout the fall during training camp and practices  etc. a lot more than any of us do. Maybe Ainge liked what he saw.

True.

The only thing missing from Brown's game right now is his FT shooting.

If Brown raises his FT% to around 70-75%, he's going to be an All-Star candidate.

He just turned 23 as well so 5 years til he hits his prime..Tatum has 7 years to go...A ball hog would impede all of their growth so time for the yearly big improvements!

Good start for the Celtic season considering they lost Horford and Kyrie.

I think this Celtics team will surprise a lot of NBA fans.

56 wins for this team is achievable.

When the offense starts clicking, watch out!

One really encouraging sign. This game was the antithesis of a regular season game last season.

The opposition got off to a good start, went to the half with a 5 point lead.

And then, the Celts basically spanked them in the 2nd half.

Last year, it would've been the other way around.

And we still got beat on the boards, too.

And it's so great to have Kemba on the team, put up 32 pts tonight. If you're a Knicks fan, you'd be lying if you didn't wish you had Kemba on your team.

If Romeo is somehow better than Edwards and G Williams, then this draft class is going to be insane.

That's why I think a player like Tristan Thompson can help this team in the playoffs.

If the Celts are facing a team with size, start Thompson.

Against Toronto it was Siakam playing PF, so it was a good match-up for Brown.

It's when the opposing team has a true PF that gets Brown and Tatum in foul trouble.

Brown, Tatum, and Hayward should not be defending PFs because they will dragged in the paint and it will force them to play the role of rim protector.
That's why Brown got in early foul trouble against PHI and NY.

That's very hard to do as Carsen and GWill are NBA ready.

Romeo has a higher ceiling, but he's not NBA ready.

Brad Stevens on Tacko:
"Every time he walks into the room, I go '[dang], he's tall' under my breathe"

He actually said some really great things about Tacko and how he is much more than just his size, but I thought this quote was hilarious

Horrible follow-up by the reporter.  Something like, "how do you help him not be an "it", a "thing", an "other"."   Brad basically turned away and barely responded.

Is Romeo going to play at all this season or keep the bench warm? If he's not going to play, then the decision to draft him at 14 is a head scratcher.  Especially when there were other guys available, that the Celts could be playing right now.

Once he develops a quick catch and spin to the basket its over lol. He should visit Olajuwon for those post moves. If he ever commands a double team, passing will be so easy for him.

Totally agree that there were better picks at #14.
But maybe the Celts were afraid they would lose Jaylen Brown.

Now that Brown is locked up long term, there's just no way Romeo is going to get playing time.

He was on the injury report with a knee, which I think is a carryover from the end of preseason.

Just finished a tennis session and saw that we won! How did we do?

Played poorly in the 1st half then dominated the Knicks in the 2nd half.
