That's why they signed Horford. Huge buckets there. Probably iced the game

Welp, perhaps the Lakers aren't as good as many people have made them out to be. They've really, really struggled against the top teams, especially in the East. They're way too top heavy, and they don't seem to play any defense, like at all.

I wonder why they would. Their leader hasn’t played defence for 3 years.

I see KOQ doesn't have any minutes. Have they been playing Simmons at C when Horford isn't on-court?

Shouldn't AD be their leader on defense?

Yeah, you can't ignore it at this point. About to be 0-6 against the Raptors, Clippers, Bucks, Sixers and Celtics now. And some of those losses have come fairly recently too (Clippers, Celtics, now Sixers)

They also just showed a stat. AD + Lebron scored or assisted on 71 of their 91 points.

Even with them being the best duo in the league, the Clippers have a great duo AND fantastic depth which to me makes them the favorites of the West still so long as they are healthy.

I more meant their de facto captain

East teams making a West coast road trip and vice versa is tough.  The Sixers are 21-2 at home.  This was the Laker 5th game in 8 days on the road.  What makes the loss surprising is Embiid and Richardson didn't play.  I expect the Lakers to be active at the trade deadline and buyout market.  Marcus Morris would be high on my target list if I were them.

Lebron is an easy target around here.  AD should be the one to lead their defense.

Oh boy. What's so confusing about his statement? Their leader (Lebron) hasn't played defense for 3 years. Someone else might be their leader in defense, but you cannot hold guys accountable if your overall leader doesn't play defense himself. Clear now?

Yeah Big and slow. There two best players are basically power forwards and then they play a center with them. They play 3 bigs and a forward and a guard that makes them slow.

Lebron has a defense rating of 103.2 this season.  Hard to do that without playing any defense.  Whereas there's a love-fest around here for Luka who has a defense rating of 111.4.
