It’s fascinating to see OKC back to the position they were before they traded away their superstars.
Now they have more first round picks than Danny has ever dreamed of.
I wonder wether they will go for a playoff push or try to tank. If they keep trading away their starters for draft picks they might end up overdoing it just like Danny had too many picks then he knew what to do with the last couple years.. maybe it’s better for them to get to the playoffs- establish (again) winning culture and get more revenue.

They have so many options ...

Watching the Sixers struggle against the Wizards’ zone is hilarious/entertaining. Simmons will not shoot, even from 8-10 feet in the lane, wide open. Forwards and even Al Horford are defended by IT at the foul line and have no idea what to - results in moving the ball along or even turnovers. Just amazing.

Only reason Wiz aren’t ahead is that they’re bricking three after three.

Sixers need to realize that it's best if they play Simmons at the PF spot.

You are correct that the only reason the Wiz are losing is because they can't make shots.

If the Sixers are facing one of the better teams in the league, Sixers will most probably lose another game.

Another win for the Grizzlies.

Looks like Celts will be picking #7 or #8, if this trend continues.

I'd be ecstatic if we get Deni Avidja with that pick.

He's more of a swing, imo he can be our future PF. What I like about him is that his passing doesn't come in a ball dominant package like Bird's, which scales up the more talented his teammates are.

Tatum is the current and future PF on the team.

What do you like about him? Never seen him play; physically, he’s awfully slight. Worried about his ability to defend and get to the rim in the nba.

His awareness and passing, the latter comes in an off ball package that scales up with talent (he doesn't need to dominate the ball to provide value to teams, which allows creators who need the ball more time to do their thing while not marginalising his offensive impact), which really helps if we're going to emulate the Golden State model of an "optimal offence" where everyone is firing on all cylinders in terms of making the right read. I think he'll bulk up after getting into the NBA, and he definitely won't get intimidated even if he plays the 4: his motor and intensity are pretty incredible.

he could be, he doesn't have to be. I think you can make the case that getting a stretch 4 type allowing Brown and Tatum to stay at the 2/3 long term and maintain their size advantages at those positions is preferable to playing them at the 3/4. Its nice to have this flexibility. Not sure Deni is that guy.

Even taking Hayward out of the equation, if another wing is selected that person would have to be appreciably better than Smart for that selection to make sense, as Smart at the 2, Brown at the 3, and Tatum at the 4 makes a great deal of sense long term.  Again that is if you don't count Hayward, which I think is a mistake as he probably has 5 good years left and I see no reason why Boston wouldn't bring him back.  Boston needs a true big man if it gets a top 10 pick this year.  No other position makes sense at all.  I'm not saying Boston should reach crazily, but all things considered and players about equal the center should be selected and there are several 6'10" or bigger players projected in the 7-10 range, so it shouldn't be hard to get one.

I dont know if a selection as to be "appreciably" better than smart so much as he has to have a skill set that makes more sense with Brown/Tatum. If you could find lets say a 6'9ish long  4 type who can switch, rebound and space + allow Brown and Tatum to stay at the 2/3 where I think they have bigger advantages than at the 3/4 then I would say that would be an interesting piece. I like the idea of having plus size rather than average size 2-4.

But in general I would also like a center, I would just say that if's there none that really fits a mold that makes sense for this team I wouldn't take one over a stretch 4 type (who the C's think will be a better player) just for the sake of taking a center.

And Mavs lose by three,  outscored 47-21 in the 4th. Allowing 47 points in a quarter is like almost impossible.
