Lots of breaks for both teams.   Lucky to be in striking distance -- but C's have missed as many makeable shots as Philly.  Sloppy.  But glad to be in it.

I don't know how they're keeping it close but they are.

Marcus Smart and first game sloppiness

Well on the positive side...the Sixers look spent. So at least they've competed defensively.

This game sucks. First game refs has a lot to do with it.

Fixed

Maybe they should play more than four preseason games...

Tatum could have maybe thought about passing on that fast break. Jaylen open in corner.
The shine is almost completely off of Tatum.  Talented?  Yes.  But not uber talented and not the best team player.  He’s going to have to work to reach his potential.

Kemba is going to want to burn this game tape.

The refereeing in this game is more disruptive than in the "The Gang Gives Back" episode of Its Always Sunny

;D TP for the Sunny reference. Need Mac to come out and throw some bows next. Going to get called for a foul anyways, might as well make it count!

This is an ugly game, but I feel pretty confident in saying that Kemba, Jaylen, and probably Tatum will be better going forward.

Tatum Bryant needs to pass the ball.

I feel like in general, the first week of the NBA is full of sloppy play, or games where 1 team just doesn't show up at all. Makes sense. What do they play, just 5 preseason games?

Tatum could have maybe thought about passing on that fast break. Jaylen open in corner.

That would require thinking and actually surveying the court instead of just looking at the rim

As much as I love Tatums scoring if he can't learn to play with his head up and make the right pass he's never gona be the star we need. If you can't pass but like to shoot then essentially your just an iso scorer, and Tatum was the first high volume iso guy in the league last year.

Sixers are 3-24 from three

That would involve the NBA and the players making less money. We know that can't happen.

Watched half a quarter's worth of basketball rn and I'm disappointed with Brad: where's the expanded role for Brown this season? It's the same old same old of relegating him to the corner and having him pass to a designated ball handler immediately after getting the ball of the inbound.
