This guy is a man of mystery and I am really looking forwards to seeing him play tonight.   Will be a reach bust or a hidden gem like Terry was ?   Thoughts?

Regardless of what he ultimately becomes, I expect a repeat of Avery Bradley’s rookie year.  (In Maine and groused about by fans.)

No doubt about Romeo's talent, it's the playing time that's not available.

Lots of questions, but IMO the biggest one is what's in between the ears?  Not just BBIQ but being able to adapt to NBA life and managing his emotions, etc.  Robert Williams needed active support, away from familiar surroundings.  Romeo is also young and could be the same.  I have zero expectations for him this year.  I just don't want him to become a James Young.

The only basketball I've seen him play was from the highlights on draft night. I'm looking forward to finally seeing him in a game.

I hope Romeo doesn't turn into our version of Markelle Fultz.

The fact that he played injured, gutted it out and still did fairly well on a weak Indiana team where he was likely the primary focus of opposing defenses - and still averaged 16 a game, boded well.

He’s not an outwardly emotional player on the court but the way he plays attacking the basket and again combined with playing through injury kind of reminds me of Paul Pierce, toughness wise.

Then, when you watch him play, he has a lot of junk in his offensive arsenal - outside, mid range, at the basket with either hand... i’d Be surprised if he does poorly over the long term. His reserved demeanor may be misleading

By misleading I mean that he may be more of an alpha mentality than his on court personality exhibits. I felt Pierce was this way as well. He was always outwardly emotional. He just kept coming at you, attacking.

odds are against danny .    We already lucked out with Carsen and Tacko .  IF HE turns out more useful than them I d be amazed.

That's an interesting and appropriate comparison.

Avery was also a top recruit coming out of high school who somewhat underwhelmed in his single college season.  I think he may have also had some injury issues in college that contributed to his lowered draft stock.

Avery obviously worked out pretty well as a pick for the Celts.

I hope Romeo turns into a more valuable all-around player than Avery, though.  Avery's had a fine career, of course, but he's never been anything more than a solid starter (whose size limits his ability to make a defensive impact apart from hounding ball-handlers).
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
