With 4(11) The Boston Celtics select:

Rick Barry

Do you have Pippen, LeBron and Rick Barry?

Yes, but I think they can be unselfish and versatile enough to make it work.

Those are 3 players that didn’t get along with teammates.  I considered Barry but he was such a jerk I couldn’t do it.

My favorite teams so far are probably Boston, LAL, and GSW.  Philly not too far behind.  On each of those teams except Boston, there is a roster tweak IMO that would make them awesome.  Sometimes that tweak was not drafting my preferred player, who in some cases is still available, so could still happen.

Chicago is my favourite team. Philly behind them.

Dallas is interesting. I love Kareem & AD. I like Vince. I need to think more about CP3 on that squad.

I am looking forward to seeing Utah fill out their roster.

Spurs getting disrespected.

Top 3 center all time
top 2 SG all time
Top 5 PG alltime
Biggest player of all time

I have 2 MVPs, 2 defensive player of the years, proven playoff performers

yet gets no love

With Rick Barry getting stolen for me, I have to go a different direction. Luckily, this guy was on the top half of my board and still happy to get him.

12x All-Star
6x All NBA
2x All NBA Defensive Team
2x Rebounding league leader
NBA Champion

With the 12th pick in the 4th round, the Detroit Pistons are happy to select a guy who would keep our defensive identity honest, while adding some scoring punch to the team.

We select The Big E, Elvin Hayes.

For your team, this was a much better pick than Rick Barry. Love this pick for your team. Hayes was a terror down low and was a fantastic defender of men much bigger than him, much like Cowens. He can switch between PF and C.

You should send CFF a thank you note for taking Rick Barry forcing you to take Hayes. 😂😂😂

You certainly needed a frontcourt player more than another wing, Yoki.  Good player you go there in Hayes.

Maybe I should.

Yeah. Another good thing about him is his shooting. Yeah, he doesn't really extend further than 15 feet, but with the team I have, that's good enough.

My favorites are Philly, Chicago and LA.

All of the squads would be great, obviously. I just like the way those teams seem to fit.

Hayes had more range than that. He could make the 18-20 footer.

Moving on immediately from Anthony Davis and closing that trade turned things around for LA.

I thought about Rick Barry and Elvin Hayes but decided James Worthy was the better fit for my squad.  I really like Worthy as a player.  Never got the love he probably deserved, but I think he is great in the role he will fill.  I also think he would be a good 3 point shooter in the modern era.
