Looks like Team USA is not the only team we will need to watch. This is actually good for Tacko as he will have more playing time and experience against some NBA caliber players.

Hope his games are televised on US TV.

Fyi: Tacko was born and raised in the city of Dakar, Senegal which is located on the Western Coast of Senegal.

For those of us who don't know exactly where Senegal is located in Africa - here are a couple links.

Each site below has some unique information about Tacko - though to be honest, they share a lot of same facts.

August 31 will be the opening day. Senegal will play on September 1, followed by 3 and 5.

So now we Brown, Tatum, Walker, Smart, Theis, Poirier (I think), Semi ( I think), and Tacko potentially playing for their countries.  That’s awesome!

I had the chance to go to the first round in Shenzhen/Guangzhou area. Really disappointed I didn't take up on it.

He has withdrawn from the World Cup.

It sucks that we won't see him compete against international talents, but at least he is determined to make the 15th spot on the team.

How is playing for your country against professional athletes in a competitive competition not better for his development than doing drills and running scrims here in Boston?

Plus it gives you an extra look to see what he his when the game speeds up even more than summer league. This decision is confusing to me but I'm just a shlump sitting in front of my pc on a Friday afternoon :D
ok fine

File this under things that make you go. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!! He was cut for some reason or the other. Senegal has traditionally being one of the top basketball teams in Africa. It looks like the 'mutual' agreement story is just spin and damage control.

what leads you to believe that? i mean, have you seen anything anywhere that would lead people to this conclusion? thanks.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
